Me, I'm going to wait before I rate it. The finish was exciting but all the follow the leader racing was like watching my finger nails grow.
 
9/10.

Congrats to Brad K. He seems to be growing up, just a year ago he was an arrogant primadona.
 
This race just proves while Dega should not be part of The Chase.

I give it an 8. I was upset, it was boring, it was exciting. A mixture of all.
 
I'll give the race a 7 even though all my drivers were involved in wrecks:(

Most of it was pretty boring "follow the leader" racing.

That was probably the most memorable finish in a NASCAR race since Kevin Harvick's come from behind win in the Daytona 500.
 
I'll go with 9.5. There was one stretch were everyone got in line and rode for a while. To me, that keeps it from being a 10. But that race had everything else.
 
8.9. Awesome way to finish a race. I'm glad nobody was injured seriously. Nascar needs to rethink the yellow line thing or we are going to see this at every other plate race. Call it the Regan Smith rule, I bet if he could go back to last year he would have done the same to Stewart.

I don't know what the rules in NASCAR are since they change them every plate race depending on who's doing the passing. But, ARCA says: "Last lap, anything goes."

Maybe that's what NASCAR needs to say. I agree, if they keep the yellow-line rule as is, every restrictor plate race is going to end with someone wrecking someone else.

Hey..i agree with Andy on something......But i think it should be last lap,anything ON THE FRONT AND BACK STRETCH goes. We don't need cars going below the yellow line in the corners.....

or go a step further. Make the front and back straights white lines, and corners yellow. And keep the yellow line rule. Or single yellow and double yellow.

Because again, they need all the real estate they can get around the finish line at the plate tracks on that last lap. And on he back straight too.....so they can go 8 wide.....
 
I listened to as much as I could of the race while I was at work. I will give a 1, Plate tracks are not real racing....end of story.
 
10 here. I loved the race. Montoya started on the pole. Brad wins it. Over 40 lead changes. What more could I ask for?
 
From what I saw of it, it was good. I watched the IRL race instead, I have my priorities you know...;):D

I think that race belonged to Carl Edwards. I know Carl admitted he came down and blocked a little but Brad really had nowhere to pass on the inside unless he went below the yellow.

I think spinning and flipping Carl was a cheap way to win.

Carl admitted coming down, that's a blocking move. What did you expect Brad to do? Hit the brakes? Go below the line and give up a 2nd place finish after being penalized by NA$CAR?

Carl was man enough to admit fault, unlike other drivers. His credibility moved up a few notches in my book.

This yellow line rule is stupid, if NA$CAR doesn't want them to run below it build a wall there.:sarcasm:
 
the yellow line didn't cause the accident. put them in the middle of the track with everything else the same. what should brad do then? carl was blocking and got punted, end of story.
 
This entire issue is a no brainer to me. If you are ahead of another car and you move your car side to side to block another car that is just racing. That said, if another car is along side of yours you have no right to the real estate the second car is occupying.
 
I give the race a 4 rating. You could conceive in the middle of the race and you would have missed nothing. Everyone knew that what happened in the middle of the race did not matter. These races are 490 miles of boredom, unless they are wrecking each other, and then 10 miles of action. The race had it's moments. Unfortunately, the race goes on for hours, not moments.
 
If someone blocks me like that on the last lap and I'm holding myline I'm going to stay there and if they go across my nose so be it. I held my line and it's not my falght. It was no cheep ya crybabys! He did not give in to a cheep block. If you can't hold a guy off cause he is faster and you block. That is cheep

It was a 10, a 10, a 10. Every Dega race is a 10. I hate restrictor plates, but it does make for a exciting race. A rookie driver busting through at the finish to win. I like last lap passes for the win myself. Good finish Saturday as well, another 'dega 10, even though Junior got shafted by "NO NECK".
