I didn't see a thread for this so here we go. From what I here from the bonehead thread I didn't miss much. I myself watched the F1 replay which ran at the same time the NA$CAR race. I did see the end the last 20 laps and wasn't happy to see who won.

I will give it a 4.5...I am ALWAYS glad to see NASCAR on my TV, but this race REALLY struggled to hold my attention as well as many others I am sure. Lack of racing for the lead REALLY hurt this one. However, you have to give a nod to Chad and Jimmie for fielding a car that provided, probably the most dominating performance in the cup series this year!

I can't go higher than a 5. Nothing really happened until the 24 blew up and it went GWC.

There was a race? I thought I was watching the traffic channel.

Not a great deal of drama or excitement from the race itself but the impact the race had on the Chase made it worth watching. Anytime NASCAR is on TV is a good time for me!

6.75

An 8 for sure. I liked that tire wear was an issue to some extent, and watching Brad hold off a bunch of cars on much newer tires was very satisfying. I believe he was 40+ laps on all four while most others had taken 2 with 30 to go.

Wouldn't that mean that Brad was on older tires???????????????????:owquitit:

Brad had 68 laps on his left side tires, and almost 46 on his right side at the end of the race (5 extra laps). Older tires than anyone else in the top 15. JJ had 32 on his rights and about 55 on his lefts. Kahne got 4 with 27 to go, so his lefts were freshest.

If anyone remembers it better, let me know.

I like races with lots of passing for the lead, so from that standpoint it was boring.

However being a Jimmie fan I will let it slide this time. :D It was fun to see him dominate, especially after the media made such a big deal about him being 10th in points two races prior.

Yeah, everyone should know better than than to write off JJ and team 48. They are simply just too good to be written off..but then again, the media isn't exactly made up of a bunch of rocket scientists anyway!

First he has newer tires, then older tires??????????? make up your mind

Didn't see the race at Kansas.

Martinsville was an 11... had everything: Pissed off drivers, controversial finish, good sound bytes, great pictures.

Don't be to rough on Kansas they have some pretty good dirt tracks out there!

4 come to mind Belleville, Salina, Lakeside and Dodge City all four have a better show than the Kansas track.

Thanks. I needed some to add to my race track wish list. I really need to make the Beleville Midget Nationals for sure.

I should add that last I heard Lakeside was seriously effected by the flooding and may or may not reopen.
I,m sure there's some other great dirt tracks those are just some I know of. The midwest has some dirt racing :beerbang:

Probably a discussion for the dirt forum, but how's the dirt they run? Clay, or is more a heavy gumbo like you see at Knoxville?
