Race: 5 (parts of it were boring as hell, but it had some exciting moments).

Finish: 4 (only because Gordon didn't win:p)

Winner: 9

TNT coverage: 8

Not having to listen to Weber: Priceless :)

Race:8 Boring parts but lots of restarts, the big one at New Hampshire?
Winner:5 I like Joey but thats race #2 Jeff lost cause of the rain!
TNT Coverage:5

6. Lets fire Weber and keep ralph in the booth, that was a fun race to listen to. Newman's probably kicking himself...or the Crew Cheif...I personally would have probably started running the race backwards like a road course..

Race ending cause of rain, 2.
Previous laps before the end, 6
Ralph Sheheen in place of Weber, 10. Do you hear me TNT, a 10!!!Keep Ralph please!!!

Fantasy race team taking another big hit due to rain, big fat 0

RATE THE RACE: Loudon I

Race: 6.5 (It was an above average Cup race. Nothing to jump up and down about but it hasd some moments.

Finish: N/a (rain predcluded an actual green flag finish)

Winner: no rating (A winner is a winner)

TNT coverage: 8 (The constant bickering between Larry McIlliterate and Dallenbach over what to call the double-file restart - I'm on Wally's side - was just irritating)

Not having to listen to Weber: Priceless (I totally concur. Keep him away from the booth. He's almost as as much of a distraction as The Village Idiot and McIlliterate on FOX))

I would have loved to be a fly on the wall when Kyle and Martin have their "conversation.":D

A lot of good runs today, not reflective of their finishes. Crappy fuel race ended by rain, snoozer through the middle. I'll give it a 6.
Zippy won the race, not Joey.

I give the race overall a 7. All the restarts helped it in entertainment value in my opinion. I, however, don't see what is so great about the TNT coverage personally...but I am only one person.

Jr spun the tires on a restart holding up truex right behind him, kyle tried to squeeze between truex and the car to the outside, causing a 10 car pileup and ensuing red flag.

Not sure where Mark landed...

What happened?

Everyone blames Shrub for everything. If Junyer is slow on a restart and doesn't get out of the way, it's Shrub's fault. If Truex moves up the track to avoid Junyer and runs in to Shrub's front bumper, it's Shrub's fault. If it rains, it's Shrub's fault. Surely, Shrub's to blame for Global Warming and the global economic depression!

Here's the video. Watch the aerial view, you'll see the blame (if we have to assign it:rolleyes:) rests on the two Junyer's shoulders.

what link?

I say 7. That one stretch was very boring. The rest of it was pretty good.

what link?

:fixed:

Oh, I apologize... I said Truex ran up in to Kyle ... actually, Montoya wiggled ever so slightly and ran Kyle in to Truex.

So, everyone should go chase Junyer and Pablo with their burning pitchforks.

I wouldn't have minded Joey winning on fuel if he had been a contender for a lot of the race, but he wasn't. Zippy DID win the race. They also called the red flag pretty quickly. They usually run them around for longer than that before they red flag the race. Could it have been because local boy with big TV sponsor was about to run out of gas? Makes one go ....hmmmmmmmmm..

What about Pocono 2007 when NASCAR threw the caution just as Ryan Newman began to pass Jeff Gordon?

It sounds to me like most of you are mad because Jeff Gordon or Tony Stewart didn't win.

The Speed Report had a clip of Kyle Busch acknowleging that he caused the wreck and apologizing for it. In this case it looks like it was his fault.

Junyer also apologized and said it was his fault. Or is that part not important?

If Jeff, Tony, or Kurt had won, heck even Jimmie or Biffle, I wouldn't have minded since they were contenders in the race. Actually, anyone who had been up front and contending, I wouldn't have minded. Like I said, ZIPPY won this race.

Pocono 2007, Jeff said he was surprised they didn't go back out to race. He didn't expect it to be called. I know you can't predict the weather, but it seems most races when it starts to rain, they run the cars around longer on caution since it helps keep the track drier. Seems they gave up pretty soon on it today.

I'm sure there were plenty of folks screaming that Gordon won Pocono that day, too. I don't recall where he was running in the race. I don't think I even saw it, to be honest. I just read about it afterward.

I know Charlotte has lights, but remember how long they waited before calling that race? There's been many times they've waited longer. Remember Kansas 2007? Smoke's fans were livid they waited so long and started the race again. Like I said above, they've also run a lot more caution laps before it was red flagged, many times. I think they wanted their story - Local boy, youngest to win a Cup race wins at his local track. It didn't hurt that Home Depot is his sponsor either. Whatever, it's done and Joey won. On to next week.

I'm with you on that one. Hell, the only way he was even on the lead lap was because of the lucky dog. Wasn't ever even a contender in the race. I don't mind someone winning a rain shortened race, but only if they are at least competetive during the day.

And yeah, I noticed they threw the red awefully fast too.

Give it an 8. The side by side during restarts made the dull parts worth sitting through. And since there are comments re: announcers, Sheheen did a good job. Replacing Weber and tossing Marty Snyder (the muck raker) to the wolves would be a good thing

Overall, I'd give it a 7.

It was actually better then most races at Loudon. Still not great, but it had it's moments. The killer was the finish. Once again, rain shortens a race at Loudon that could have seen an awesome finish.

At least the last time this happened we got to see Eva Busch do a wet t-shirt contest thanks to Miller.

I'm with the crowd saying it would have been a little easier to take if Joey was at least in contention but a win is a win and thankfully we didn't have to wait forever like in Charlotte
