Rate the race Martinsville

Just got home from a LOOOONG day at work just in time to see Hamlin doing burnouts.

Based off what I saw, 0. I hate it when Denny Hamlin wins... in fact I hate watching Hamlin win more than watching JJ win.

It was an average Martinsville. I'll give it a 6.5
Unfortunately the whiner won, so that kinda ruined the whole day.

I thought the race was great. Granted Burton and Hamlin had the best cars but just like the truck race it was good racing all the way back through the pack.

You guys have got to be kidding....

I took the day off work and thought this was the best race I have seen in quite some time.

10 :beerbang:

9 mostly cause Kasey ran 17th all day

I give most of the race, a 7-8. I missed some of the middle since I had to take someone somewhere. The last few laps a 10. What happened during the GWC: -10! grumble grumble grumble! lol

My DVR didnt record it for some reason. Brian Vickers getting a Top Ten at a short track makes me happy though.

I can't believe you guys didn't like that race. It was a really good race.

I will give it a 10.
If Gordon had held on it would've been a 20.

I didn't see it either but thought that there'd be a replay on SPEED tonight, but all they have is a few highlights on Race Hub. This is the first time that I can remember not seeing a same day rebroadcast of a rained out race.

I'll give the race a solid 9 amd am glad that the Aussie had a good finish. Just think how he might have finished if he had been in so much trouble. He'll take an 11th place finish with all the problems he encountered today.

I just got a chance to watch the race. Good short track racing. Ambrose hit everything but the brakes. I'll give it an 8.
The cars look WAY better without that goofy wing.

Have to disagree. The spoilers look horrendous.

Same here. And whats with that stupid looking fin on one side of the back window? I know they are far from a "stock" car these days but I have seen more cars on the road with a wing (as silly as that is in itself on a street car) than I have a piece of sheet metal sticking up out of the trunk.

Um...........no street car has a functional wing.

That’s what I'm saying. Its stupid and useless but I have seen it. Not as big as on the COT but it is an option on some cars. That little useless wing that’s usually in the "sports package" or whatever with manufacturers.

You also don't have those little 4 banger "Fast and Furious" wanna be idiots driving around where you come from?

I just think the wing looks more like a street car than the trash can lid sticking out of the trunk.

I've never seen a Ferrari with a wing

A wing was actually an available option on my '08 Focus, but I didn't think I'd get it going fast enough to need it :D

Ha ha, and it probably cost an extra $2000. That’s what cracks me up when I see a 94 Honda civic, with 2 different colored doors, Japanese writing on the side (or something equally gay looking) and its spewing smoke out of the tail pipe BUT its got a nice shiny new aftermarket wing on it to make it look fast. The thing would blow up before it reached a speed where the wing would make a difference.

I couldn't rate the race until I had a chance to watch it. Now that I have, I give it an 8+. Racing is almost always great at this track and yesterday was no exception. IMO the only way it could be rated less than an 8 is if you are not a fan of Martinsville, a Hamlin hater, or you simply don't like anyone winning other than your driver. The only way it could be better is if they swapped dates with Phoenix.

I'd give it an 9.

Lots of great racing through-out the field, and a good finish.

I'll give it a 9. Awesome racing. If that last caution hadn't kept Jeff Gordon from winning it would have been a 10. :D

I'm just now watching the race on Race In 60 on SPEED. I'm really impressed with the number of spectators that came back on a Monday.
