Rate the Race: Michigan

I'll go an 8. Interesting race because of all the different problems that kept popping up. Never knew what was going to happen next -- plus the big names that had those problems.

Race: 6
Winner: 0 (can't stand that guy - he's single handedly ruined the last two Daytona 500s)
TNT: -10 pure crap

TNT ruined it for me. I just cannot take hearing from washed up Kyle Petty. For those not familiar with out only canadian sports network we are fed even worse crap than TNT offers. They take the TNT feed and add even more commercials and override some of the networks with Bullpoo Canadian crap.

As Much as I have enjoyed some races at Michigan (GO Mark Martin!) I can only give this one a 6

7. It was an interesting race with all the problems and strategies. Taking 4 tires proved to be killer.

As long as a Gibbs car didn't win I'll give it a 10, not to mention the 16 took it home!

Good to see the Fords wake up and run with the other two, good competition. Better to run smarter sometimes than faster. Top ten are pretty diverse with all brands in the hunt. Coverage was better, you could see more of the race. Their whole leaderboard assembly and race graphics is better but it still sucks. Good to see Biffle get one.
8.5 for the race
5 coverage

Race: 5.5- all the issues saved it for me. I think I'm hitting that stage in the summer where I start having a hard time getting invested in the races. I look forward to Sonoma next week because I'm on the west coast so that will be nice. Unfortunately for me the Nationwide series has been much more entertaining.

Broadcast: 5- who the hell is Adam Alexander? What has he ever done? I don't mind Kyle and Wally so much they have some insights, but ol double A (not Arn Anderson) is killing me. All the options and TNT has this guy. It's as blasphemous as ESPN having Chris Berman covering the US Open. Also the lap graphic is horrendous. The location is bad and it's the same color as most of the print on the screen so it becomes hard to find it. I spend as much time looking for it as I do watching the race.

9 race, I liked TNT's coverage, not sure why everyone hates it, yeah AA is pretty bad at times, but KP and Wally are solid.

He didn't even know how many championships Johnson, Stewart and Keselowski had combined.

Not bad for a Michigan race. Pretty entertaining throughout with all the attrition and unpredictability of it all, as many of you have already stated.

I also like how Kyle Petty describes a tight pass as a "crossover move" as opposed to a "slide job".
A correct and better term, imo.

6, mainly because hotdog wrappers continue to determin races at MIS. What a joke.

TNT sucked. Tony was making a crazy dive bomb move in the dog leg all day and they never even mentioned it.

I give a 10 just because that cheatin crybaby Jimmie Johnson hit the wall and had a crappy finish. He is STILL whining about Dover

TNT sucks. I think they missed every green flag pass for the lead because they were away on commercial. Kyle Petty and the other idiots said the wrong name of the driver being talked about on screen numerous times.

There's one in every crowd. :p

I like Wally but AA, KP, craptacular audio, craptastic camera angles and commercial overload has become the norm for TNT.

I heard more about the actual driving of the car and some of the setups on the rear of these new cars in one race than I did in 13 races on Fox.

BTW, I'm giving it a 7.

Race: 9. I think it is my third favorite of all year, only behind Auto Club and Bristol (and maybe Richmond).
Jimmie, Kurt, and Kahne hitting the wall: 0
Gordon wrecking and Dale Jr. blowing a engine: 10
Almirola fading and then taking four tires: -100. What were you thinking?!

Ford still owns that track and I have no idea why. It looked like a good day for Jr Nation only to be bummed again (I him him for one of my fantasy picks). I'm happy that the Bif got a win. It was so unusual to see the Hendrick luck run out like that - it gave a lot of teams a better finish.

You know major teams are having trouble when Danica gets a top 15, and JJ effing Yeley runs in the top 20 for a lot of the race.
