Race: 8.5 :beerbang: Would've been a 10 if Mark or Kevin won.

Finish: 2, I hate it when the 48 car wins. Would be a 10 if Mark won.

Coverage: 2. FOX screwed up tonight, across the board. They were as bad as ESPN.

I'll go a 9

And to be fair, all the troubles with the start weren't FOX's fault. It is hard to fight Mother Nature.

FOX has 3 cable networks. They have FX, and they have SPEED, and they have FOX NEWS. And, they have tickers, I know. I see them all the time on FOX5.

They could've put it on some network.

It wouldn't have mattered. You would just have found something else to complain about.

Sorry for so late, but the race did get over pretty early...in the morning that is. LOL

I did enjoy it and will give it a solid 8. Passing is pretty hard with these cars and that does seem to make it more exciting at times.

Overall, 8. But the end, 1. I HATE fuel mileage races. It just isn't racing. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that JJ should have been black flagged for not keeping race speed up. Hell, he almost got run over at least twice by cars that actually racing, almost caused a wreck at least once.

And those burnouts where the driver just parks it against the wall and spins his tires......lame. If you have to do a burnout, at least put some effort into it. (I mean really, JJ didn't put any effort into the win.....)

If it would have ended with side by side racing it would have been an 8 but since it ended with the leader barely making pit road speed I'll have to give it a 4.

I give the race 7.

If Jimmie didn't put any effort into the win, as you maintain, exactly what does that say about the other 42 drivers? :D

I'm talking about the last part of the race. Sorry, but driving around as slow as possible isn't effort, and it ain't racing! He got the lead by driving around slow enough to save gas. And like I said, he almost collected cars in wrecks more than once while he was driving around out there in the way.

I still hate gas mileage races, no matter who wins.

That's is the most ridiculous thing I think I've ever read on here. Whether it was my driver or not - if you think for one second a lot of winning in the top series isn't strategy, you're crazy. Go back to your dirt track where you can run wide open for 20 laps and think your driver accomplished something. The whole thing is strategy, everything! From driving slow, to working on aero, to tuning the engines, to pit stop timing, to drafting, to bumpin' and rubbin', to blocking, to saving those terrible Goodyear's - it's all strategy. You can't run wide-effing-open for 300 laps and expect to be anywhere near the top of the field without employing two, or three, or all of the aformentioned strategic efforts. I am terribly sorry your boy didn't win because his CC's math isn't as good as Chad's, but to insinuate that's any less 'racing' because of it is appalling.

When was the last race your driver won? I would love the opportunity to go back and see if he somehow won it using your definition of 'racing'. My best guess would be he didn't win without fuel mileage, tire management, drafting, etc. You seriously need to re-think what you just said right there.

And your last statement, re: hating "no matter who wins" considering fuel mileage, is a lie. If your boy was rolling into the Winner's Circle you wouldn't give a damn how he got there. Just stop.

I love fuel mileage races myself, they're usually the most dramatic and most unpredictable.

I hated that Jimmie won only because it's another race Mark Martin should've won that Carl or Jimmie end up winning.

All of a sudden, Jimmie's not whining about the Car of Tomorrow.

What gives?

First off, I don't have "a boy." Probably the closest I would come would be Stewart, and the race he won two years ago, where he coasted to the win because he ran longer than anyone else (and ran out of gas in 3), I thought was a crap way to win a race. Sorry, I stand by my statement: I hate fuel mileage races! I guess that makes me less of a fan????

Second, going so slow that you nearly cause wrecks is crap, period. There were at least two occasions, one in the dogleg on the back stretch, where JJ almost collected two cars that were racing for position, and he was going as slow as possible to save gas. People gripe all the time about slower lapped cars being in the way when someone's racing for postion, but just because the leader's the one in the way, makes it alright?

Again, I stand by my statement. Strategy or not, I hate fuel mileage races. Saying that makes me a lier????

It's more exciting that way. NASCAR drivers having to save fuel, hey, just like I have to do.

Gas is expensive you know. :D

That goes w/o saying! They'll black flag Robby for anything they can get away with!

Oh yeah - I guess I'll give the race a 7.0. It was better than the other races we've seen with the COT which have been boooooooor-ing!

I'll give it a 7.5. I would have given it an 8 or 8.5 had it not been for the ending.

I give it a 7.5 as well.. Little bit more passing.. a lot more drama with the fuel mileage at the end! I do wish Mark or Jr would have won... its been a while for both of them and I think that they are both due!! You knew a Hendricks guy had to win sooner or later though!!!

Did anyone hear what DW said when JP and Robby were bumping each other? I thought man somebody will come down on you Darrell. He said "Those two are just alike just speak different languages."
