Rate the Race: Pocono II

I'm happy for Denny, he just lost his grandma. I missed the wreck so i can judge on that. But congrats to him.

He ran in to Reutimann in to the corner. Reutimann was clearly trying to hold on. Instead of backing off and letting him recollect it, Hamlin rams him again and drive through him and turns him around. He can say he's sorry about it, but that was as intentional as it gets.

Of course, Hamlin gets rewarded with a win just about every time he does something stupid.

Better than Indy. Probably the best racing you can expect at Pocono.

These Pocono races are just too long, and too close together. The double-file restarts helped, but there were too many single-file streches where the drivers are just counting down laps.

Nice to see Montoya and Hornish with good runs.

Kind of like his teamate, Kyle Busch?

First half of the race - 3
Second half of the race - 8
I guess that makes the total 5.5 :D

Nothing new for hamlin. He runs into drivers frequently and denies it was his fault.

Rate the race a 7 or even 7.5.

9.7

I don't know what you guys were watching but that was one of the best races so far this season.

Breathtaking racing all day. Only way it would've been better is if Montoya had enough engine to catch Hamlin. Makes you wonder, as good as he's been (Pablo), what could he do in a Hendrick or Gibbs car?

I have to admit I was skeptical. I thought it was going to be another sleepy, fuel mileage race. Pretty good racing all around. I think the double file restarts helped with the excitement.
I'll give it a 7.

Best Pocono race I have saw in a long time...much better than the one in June. I give it an 8

Oh yeah

I enjoyed the race. Just enough restarts to keep it interesting. The restarts are the same as they have always been, double file, except now all the upfront drivers are vieing for first place and not just the outside line..
Betsy:rolleyes:

I only saw the last 30 laps, so I'd have to give that part a 9. I thought it was some of the best racing we've ever seen at Pocono.
