I was going to give this race a 2 until the last 35 laps or so. I have to break it down into segments. First 150 lap - 2, last 50 laps - 7. I guess that averages out to 3.25.

First 99 laps - 0.
Last 2 laps - 6

Post race near fight - 9

Easily a 10 from here. I have only watched one bad race in my lifetime. :D

7.5

Typical Pocono race. The drivers don't race until they have to. That's pretty much the way it is at all tracks these days. Once it's time to race it gets exciting. Shorten the race and create a sense of urgency. Personally, I like the track. I just think it would be a much better race if it were shorter.

Flat 5, was a 2.367 before the final 35 laps. Way to go NASCAR with your phantom caution with 45 to go, saved my reasoning for watching the Boring Pocono race from 122 on.

ok, i have to know which one was the bad race. <g>

i'd give pocono a 5. took a short nap and had it on in the background while doing other stuff.

Listening to the race on MRN: 10
Watching the race on DVR when I got home: 4

Those MRN guys can make watching paint dry the most exciting thing in the world.

This was just another too long Pocono race. Last 35 laps were good, though. I really wanted to see Hornish win, but I knew it wasn't going to happen. Even if he drove well enough to keep Hamlin in second, Captain Whines-a-lot would have turned Hornish to get his win.

The Brickyard a few years back when Goodyear couldn't give the drivers fifty laps out of a tire. I was there and dang near left.

8, but I'm in the minority because I love Pocono. Plus the fact that Hornish Jr. hung in there longer than anyone expected while he led.

NASCAR races are all the same now. The first 75% of the race is just guys turning laps, while the last 25% consists of actual racing.

the first 75%: 1.0 rating. It was so bad, I folded laundry.
the last 25%: 7.0 rating. There was some good racing, but the cautions went on for too many laps.

I fell asleep somewhere around lap 50 and woke up with about 50 to go. I'm not surprised at all that there were about 30 cars left on the lead lap towards the end of the race. I wasn't too happy to see a g/w/c finish, but at least the best car all day won the race :)

I'd give it a 7
