Rate the race on a scale of 1 to 10.

I give it a 10... best race of the year! :beerbang:

I'd give it a 10. Dunno if many agree with me, but road course seem to be the only tracks where the COT is actually racey.

I have to give it a 9.5 because Ryan did not have a good day. It was a great race and I really enjoyed it.

It seems to me when it comes to road racing, the crappier the car, the better the racing. Formula Snooze is a good example of this -- those cars almost drive themselves and the races suck royally. God I can't wait until FOTA takes them down.

Double file restarts, Gordon didn't dominate, Busch was a middle of the pack swerving racer, Stewart was fast(but not fast enough), Aussie Ambrose has a "good day mate".

9.87777777.

TNT COVERAGE 6.5

Okay, I'll give it a 10 as well. But hey, there is an awful lot of high marks from some people who didn't seem to like road racing.

BTW, watching those double file restarts at the end was just like what our local racing was last night. Eight cautions in a 100 lapper and the top two guys finished just as the began. Very exciting and I love the double file restarts.

I give it an 8 because the middle part of the race was ho-hum. The last 40 laps or so were really good.

TNT COVERAGE 6.5

TNT coverage gets a 10 because of the Dan Gurney and Lindsay Czarniak pre-race pieces ... I know a lot of people who would've loved to be in Steve Addington's place (lunch with Lindsay:growl:) LOL

The coverage was getting old with all 3 of them every minute going "WOOOOOO" and you couldnt see half the stuff they were doing that about and they did that instead of using words like normal people would.

The foot cameras were cool and i know wally was a trans am series champ but man i dont need to hear the same road racing strategy explained 20 times in an hour.

race was awesome though alot of beating and banging going on and it was cool.

8.5 It had a few boring parts, but the last part of the race was awesome.

I didn't like any of it.

The coverage of the front runner while beating and banging was going on back in the pack..a 2 at best.
Fuel milage! Racing to the last fill-up just to make it to the end...not even a 2!
Someone different and unexpected winning...9 or better.
Betsy:rolleyes:

i have to agree. hearing shootout style and "this is how you run the race backwards" every 5 seconds was annoying, but i love foot cams.

Great race overall, but I got a little annoyed with all the restarts at the end.

Didn't stay for the race as once it starts, I load up and move out.

But I did get to watch some practice sessions and qualifying and I really like this place.

The track personnel were outstanding and very helpful in getting us in and out and making sure we got what we needed to make hospitality a good time for the fans.

What a difference it will be in two weeks when we get to Daytona. Over there you are treated with indifference and like you are more of and annoyance rather than someone that is helping to support the track with business.

Infineon is a joy to work and a beautiful place to be.

Guido,..... who is now making the long trek back to NC.

Maybe the double file will make new hampshire a little worth watching. I hope so.

I'll give it an 8.

That may seem like I short-changed it a bit but so far this year that's probably three higher than any of the previous races, and a full five higher than the last two races combined!
My only complaint is the same I have for all the road courses; they aren't designed with full bodied stock cars in mind. If Bruton were to widen the narrow areas and give the tracks more than two sections where passing could be achieved, I believe the product would be even better than it was Sunday (and I thought it was a darn good race!).

The double-file restarts (I sincerely hope the next time Weber refers to them as "Shoot Out Restarts, someone *****-slaps him) definitely added to the excitement and made the lead driver work to stay in the lead. I'm looking forward to Watkins Glen.
