Had it's moments. Not one I'll remember from years from now.
Still live NASCAR racing, though. And that ain't all bad.
 
I thought it was a pretty good race and will give it a 7.5. kurt drove a good race and Sonoma is becoming one of his best tracks. Vickers (yuk) also drove a good race. and of course Bowyer really stood out from the others.
 
7.5. Good race and racing. Not one to remember in five years but still, good.

And yes, Kurt's rally was fun to watch but don't overlook Jeff's performance. He done real good, considering........
 
Actually, based on what I'm reading on Twitter and reading today, it sounds like the race was a 7 or an 8.

TNT's rating is a -12. They managed to outsuck FOX.
 
I was excited just to get to watch a race from start to finish, so I loved it.:D I would have loved to have seen what Jeff Gordon could have done if he had not ran out of fuel. Tony Stewart was running very stong and Kurt definitely put the pressure on Clint for a lot of laps. But I am glad that he didn't lose his cool and take Clint out of the race.
 
I thought it was rather boreing myself, only two cautions and tire/fuel strategy that still dosent make alot of sense to me? Maybe it was just the coverage was weak? And the commercials............Oh My God I'm starting to sound like ANDY :bleh:

Yeah I hate to be negative so much but God TNT is awful. Commercials every 5 minutes, missing most of what happens on the track and worst of all Kyle Petty. I can't believe I'm saying this but......he's worse than DW.
 
I don't know if the actual commercial time is the same but with the Waltrips and Hammond, the whole race feels like one big commercial with their constant vocal product placement.

But, at least the races are on TV so I'm grateful for that.
 
When Fox is on, they are the worst. When it's TNT, they are the worst. When ESPN, they will be the worst. It's never ending. No one will ever be satisfied by any of the networks. Same thing every year. NASCAR does not translate well to TV and road courses present more challenges than any other type of circuit.

The only decent TV coverage is F1 but even they miss things.

Oh the complaining about commercials will stop when it is gone from Network tv and only available on pay per view .

Yeh but in Nascar there is actually more passing, I've never seen and form of auto racing were there is less passing than F1.

(unfortunately there wasn't many moments to nature hating somebody's guts. Even Kurt was a sweetie)


Few cautions scorecard. = 9


Sentimental Sap scorecard = 8
(Kurt and Vickers working for redemption)


Eye Candy during the invocation/national anthem/salivating ceremonies scorecard =1
-(the most distressing part of the weekend. In the state of Helliewood it is just shame shame not to have some high heeled, proactively dressed drivers wives/gfs inspiring us.
The best I saw was the Babe playing the Alto Sax during the national anthem.)


Overall Total Final Composite Scorecard Averagements = 4.75

My fave track on the circuit for the CUP drivers.
I'd love to see a N'wide/CUP double header at Road America or Montreal...

Anyway, my Race Rating is 8.5
My TNT Rating is 6
including a one-point bonus added cause it's NOT FOX!
