I give it an 9 overall.

Sprint Showdown gets a 10.

Rest of the race gets an 8. It had a lot of very exciting moments.

It had its moments, but the real contest comes next week.
7.

Very true! Next week is when it really counts. I thought the first race was way more exciting than the Allstar. I think that was pretty uneventful. The ending was good since it was a surprise who won. So, if I average out the 2 of them, I guess I'll have to give it a 7.5.

I agree. The showdown was way better than the all star.

NASCAR needs to fix the CoT at these intermediate tracks. tapered spacer, wickerbill, more angle, i dont know/care what. Just something to make them be in more of a pack formation to get some real racing.

I will rate the race a 6. I found it lacking compared to past races.

Congrats though to Kasey.

Quite frankly, I'd give it about a 4. The showdonw was slightly better, but there was no bumping, no banging, no real excitement. Out of the 100 laps, there was probably only about 10 laps of side by side racing. Boring, boring, boring.

Thank God I went to the loacal track last night instead of staying home to watch this yawner. Over an hour and a half of pre-race crap. Glad I own a DVR, I watched the race in just over 2 hours!

It's hard to call last night a typical race as far as setups go since a lot of teams were experimenting and and made no secret of the fact that they were treating it as a test session. The good cars didn't seem to have much trouble passing but there wasn't much three wide racing.

It's kinda funny a lot of you guys piss and whine when Kyle is doing the bumpin' and bangin' but when he blows up and drops out of the race, you piss and whine that there's no bumpin' and bangin' going on...:idunno:

Hope you're not insinuating me as one of those. Go back and look at my history, I'm one of the few that didn't throw KB under the bus for beating and banging.

I thought the car was very good.

The Showdown was breathtaking. It looks to me like they don't need to change a thing on the car. It's performed well on Charlotte, Daytona, some of the older tracks.

Maybe these new tracks (California, Texas, Vegas) just aren't very good. :idunno:

Same here. Show my one bad post I have written about Kyle. I did the leg work for you Bobby

Boy A lot of people have forgotton what HARD racing for the win is. Once upon a time Race drivers raced hard for the whole race. That sorta went by the wayside and now Kyle brings it back. The Guy is out there to win, not ride in circles like some of them.

I'm sure if it was Jeff or Jimmy runnning this hard, this conversation would be little to none. But I guess we don't have to worry about that.

They were racing for the win. I wouldn't want anything else but good hard racing.

At least he did not punt him from behind like JEFF did to Rusty for the win.

Kyle takes over the points lead...Life is good

I'm only referring to the Kyle bashers; the non-believers...

As a fan of Kasey, I'll give the whole night a 10. :) But that was from my heart, not my mind, so you can take it or leave it. I did think that there was some pretty good racing going on around the track though.

The Showdown was much more interesting. There was some passing in the All-Star Race, but not nearly as much as I would have liked. The problem I see is that when anyone gets in the lead (and it doesn't matter who it is), they start running away from the field. This has been the case in most of the intermediate tracks. I am getting frustrated watching the real battle from second back and just seeing the leader get a 5+ second lead.
