10 , there was an incredible amount of passing and lead swapping . I thought Kenseth had it in the bag , Junior went from the back to the front several times , Smoke was as good as I have seen him in a long time , Ambrose , Biffle, Edwards ,Logano all had good runs. Harvick's pit stop was incredible and he refused to give the lead back.Don't know what more you could want in a race.
I was hoping to see more position changing.
There was a 500 some years ago where during every lap positions were changed constantly. Jr. and Montoya were moving through the field together many times seemingly at will. There was an ebb and flow to the action. There was a group who sat back, Edwards was one of them and when he made his move I felt he was not used to the flow of the race because he hadn't been working with the field and caused the big one.
October 7, 2012 at Talladega Superspeedway.Whens the last time Johnson finished a plate race? Without a being in a wreck?
That finish doesn't count. There was a melee at the end he was involved in, yes?October 7, 2012 at Talladega Superspeedway.
He finished on the lead lap. He had to have crossed the S/F line ahead of four other cars. That finish doesn't count. There was a melee at the end he was involved in, yes?
But he was in the scrum. He finished on the lead lap. He had to have crossed the S/F line ahead of four other cars.
But he was in the scrum.
I think it was 2011 the last time he finished without a bang up.
Would love to read Edwards' letter, got a link? I dont remember reading that letter back then
No, I don't. I recall that it was full of F bombs and real nasty, which blew Carls carefully crafted nice guy image right out of the water. This is what really set Carl off.
Wasnt that the year Carl stayed in the back until the end and then when he finally got up front caused the big wreck? He deserved to get criticized, shouldve took it like a man...
Got the linkI can still picture Carl pushing the left rear of Biffles car going into the turn. Biffle ended up in Kenseths door and 11 cars got torn up. At the time, Carl and Greg were 1 and 2 in the points.
That was it? Damn, I thought there was a whole lot more.
I guess that was it, don't know if that is actually the note, tho
