Rate The Race Talladega II

Well, considering my guy won and took the points lead over, plus Talladega being right up there as one of my favorites on the circuit I'm going pretty high!! No big one (which happens quite a bit more often than most will admit) helps too!! Close racing all day and a nail biter with the last caution came out.........what more could one ask for in a race? :D

9.5          :)

I give it a 8, My guy finished 10th so I'm happy about that. If he had finished 1st then I would have given it a 10. :)

I will give it a 7.5. It is still not one of my favorite tracks but it was fun watching Jr go up front almost anytime he wanted. For a minute there I thought that Tony had a shot.

Honestly, I slept through a lot of it. Saw the beginning and the end. Guess that is really all that was important, Huh????

I gotta give it a 7.5. Happy as all get out that there was no
BIG one, and glad nobody was hurt either. Elliott has just
got to stop all that showing off on the last lap. Gives one
nearly heart failure.

I really wasn't too thrilled with the finish, but guys with "rocket ships"
are sorta in the winning mode.

That's for you, DE_W2! LOL

I rate it a 6.5, once again my driver got caught up in someone elses mistake.

I give it an 8. Simply because there was no big one and my guys did well. Except for Vickers (btw anyone know what happened to him?), Edwards, and the Elliott upside down thing (it's good to know he's okay enough to joke around about working on the height for next year...)

I would give 'Jr's last stand' about a 7. Its a damned shame the rest of the races arent RP tracks isnt it?? :p :p

Kurt Busch---2004 NEXTEL CUP CHAMPION!!!

Hell yeah, you guys are lucky there's not anymore RP tracks this year.

I'll bet ya an avatar for the rest of the year on Elf boy and JR.

Oh, I almost forgot,        ;)

8.5 only because Jr. didn't lead every lap.

I'll give it a 6.5 and that's high because there was no big one.

Now the truck race I'll give a 9.5!!! That was good racing. :D

Bow....you know this is a very special avatar I have here man!!

But be honest---with the plates gone who would you RATHER have in front of you? Its a no-brainer. JR is the weak link. Gordon might have been tougher, but KB can beat JR. like a rented mule. :bounce: :bounce:

Jr against Elfie, every week, looser wears avatar of winners choice. Smack and DE are doing it and emp and lappy are doing it. Care to wager???

Just to clarify what bowtie is saying, neither has to WIN the race. Jr. just has to finish ahead of Kurt, or vice versa.......................loser has to change the avatar!

I'll give it a 10 cause I was there!!

Brian's water and oil was pegged, couldn't get it down. Temp was 290. Tried everything to cool it off, but it didn't work. Had to take it behind the wall.

I don't usually bother rating the races but I thought this one was one of the best I've seen all year. Lots of lead changes, Waltrip getting warned to calm down and I thought the guys in the Booth did a nice job. I give it an 8.

I'll give it a 4,it was a plate race(YAWN) afterall,and because Jr. won.

Yep, agreed,
and, the smaller fuel cells really broke up the pack.

I thought the racing during the last 60 laps was pretty good. Probably a 6 or 7. Here's a few things I liked about the race:

Brendan Gaughan had a top 5, nobody needed that more than those guys

I'm not a big Harvick fan but it was cool that he gave his teamates props after the race. It was nice to see Robby have a good run while racing smart and helping his teamates. I think both of those guys gained some respect in this race (from me anyway). I may have underestimated the effect that Jeff Burton is having on RCR. Those guys looked good and all 3 finished well. Harvick may have had a shot if the 30 and 31's cars hadn't faded at the end of the race.

Scott Riggs and Casey Mears had good runs, nice to see

Junior is just awesome on these rp tracks and that kind of bores me a little. It's no fun knowing with 85% certainty the outcome before the race. It was cool that DJ gave Jr props for knowing how to drive rather than just having the best car. I'm not a Jr fan but a compliment like that from a well respected veteran peer carries alot of weight in my opinion.

Sadlers interview after the race. Priceless.

Hated to see Mayfield practically eliminated from the chase.

Plate racing is a joke.......its a popularity contest and all you care about is who your buddies are and trying to dodge the mistakes that rookies make.
