Even tho my  Jeff Gordon won, I really don't care too much for this track.

Overall, pretty good racing so I give it a solid 8.5

I always give it a ten when Jeff wins.

It's not my favorite track either.. mainly because fuel mileage is such a factor.

Yep kat, have to agree......thrilled that Jeff won but it can be a boring track to watch on tv...love it when I'm there in person tho!

I'll give it a 6....cause Jeff won!

I thought it was a pretty exciting race, I'd give it a 9. Surely beats some of the other races we've had here lately. Happy for Jeff. Terry had a great finish and my man Ward had a Top 10 finish. :bounce:

I give it a 5.

Not much going on til the last lap...

Rusty made it interesting with his comments about Tony.

Anyone else think the coverage of the last lap was a bit poor? All these guys just making it past Bobby and we get a picture of Casey in the pits...spots 2-6 change in the half a lap and we get to watch him refuel! What gives?!

you call 15 lead changes, side by side racing, Casey Mears from the very back to finish in 8th, Harvick's up and down day to end up 12th, Ward spinning out and coming back to finish 10th, Bobby & Terry in the top 10, and on and on and on, not much goin on?

I liked the race. I was glad to see Jeff Gordon get the respect he deserves by finishing 1st again but this time with tremendous applause. Mark Martin will ride again... and hopefully into the top 10 next time.

I give the race an 8.1 on a 10 scale.

I'm going with a 9...........could have been a ten if my guy hadn't got put a lap down!! :( Actually, it was a good race....you should have seen the side by side racing coming out of turn 4!! :D And that was right in front of us..........a couple times it was four wide but mostly two or three. And that racing wasn't limited to top runners either........it was darned near every lap in every group of cars!! Brendon Gaughan would run very high and come off the turn with so much speed it was unbelievable!! That kid is going to win one soon!! :D

I gotta give it a 8, mostly because Jeff won. I like to see good speed and passing when it isn't manufactured by plates.

Lots of side by side and passing and Jeff won. On second thought, I will give it a 9. B)

I'M GIVING IT A 20..............LOVED IT........... :D :D :D :D SHOOT GIVE IT A 24..........

I thought it was a great race.......I am still high up on that cloud....... :D

I'll go with 24 also on second thought :D We get two weeks to enjoy the thrill of back to back victories also   Seems like old times :D

I'm going to give it a 9. It was a good race with a great outcome.

Well, I'm going with a 9 too. Was a pretty good and exciting race from my seat. :D Lots opf action, lots of passing, fast, FAST FAST!! :bounce: :bounce:

7...I don't like it when dudes are running out of gas there at the end, its like, you follow someone for 249 laps and they make all this progress...or race really good...and then after its over you realize that they fell way out of the top ten because they ran out of gas whereas other dudes still had some gas left and make it past them before they can sputter across the line...but then again...that's racin'

It was no where near as boring as last week. And will be a whole lot better than next week. ;)
I guess an 8 is about right.

The 24 and the 48 didn't run out of gas. Just because some did, and I like Bobby, shouldn't detract from the race. If anything it adds to the excitement. Tell me you weren't on the edge of your seat waiting to see if Bobby could run down Jeff.
And, what would happen with the Dodge Boyz.

I'm just glad that Lil'E didn't get to take advantage of the fuel mileage and come out with a good finish.

Not a fan of fuel racing, I'll give it a 7 only cause Jeff won.

I get a kick out of some of y'all. :) You get a track like Kansas or Chicago and to some extent like Texas where most will call it a single groove track with next to no passing......it's "follow the leader". Though I tend to disagree with those statements. Then we get the tracks like Daytona and Talladega where the good cars can't get away from the pack. And, again, I sort of disagree but not so much. There's the road courses, which everyone loves.......but there's almost no passing once the cars get a lap or two in......unless someone runs off course (the famous "kitty litter"). And the short tracks where's its seldom the best or fastest car that wins, but the instead it's the luckiest or most physical driver that wins. But when we get to a track that does have multiple racing lines, is smooth and wide with fairly flat corners forcing the cars to handle decently...............and the good cars can and do get away..........we call them "snoozers or ho-hums". California, Michigan, Pocono and to a lesser degree Atlanta are all such tracks. To win, you need a fast car, you need a very good handling car and you need a driver and team who can put it all together. If you can't do that, you'll be lucky to be on the lead lap, let alone win. :) Fuel mileage is part of racing............always has been too. Only they used to call it "getting out of pit sequence"...........and lot of drivers have won races in the past with that strategy. Only difference I see is now it's called fuel strategy.

And for most pulling that strategy yesterday (including Bobby Labonte) that was their only hope of winning...........Jeffy had the field covered pretty solidly. With 50 to go, there was absolutely no way Bobby was going to win unless Jeffy broke, wrecked or ran out of gas.......and the 18 team knew it. They gambled..........they lost. So did the Dodge guys. No one was going to catch the 24. :)

Yeh, me to!!! LOL

I completely agree with DE.

One thing for sure...if there was a track I knew was going to produce boring racing - I wouldn't watch. I enjoy any race where the rules apply equally to ALL drivers.

Those Hendrick cars are awsome right now.
