Rate the race

Well, been waiting for someone to post this, so guess I'll start.

I'm giving it a 9.
Seems to me there was some really good racing and battles through out the field. Lots of cars having troubles but working through them and coming back with pretty good finishes.

I'm giving the officials a 9.5 for todays race too. I've complained enough when they screw up, I think it only fair I give them an "Attaboy" for today.

Just My opinion, yours may vary. :D

NASCAR has made remarkable improvement over the past few weeks.

The call to bring out the caution at the end of the race was the right call.
There are times when other things must be given consideration other than a green flag finish. For those who feel NASCAR made a bad call, get over it. NASCAR did it right.

WOW !!!! The blown engines. Does Jimmy Johnson have a four leaf clover tatooed on his butt or what ??? Tranny troubles and still finishes well. Junior working to the front and sliding into Harvick. Can't blame the pit crew for that mistake.

Mike Joy explaining why fans do not like Jeff Gordon. GEESH !!!
Takes all kinds I guess. THere was a guy many years ago who didn't like Richard Petty because the paint color on his car was called Petty blue and the guy didn't like the color blue. Sure does take all kinds.

The race, rate the race.
Watching Khane, Newman, Gaughan and Blaney do well, plus all the battles front, back and every where in between, make this an eight point five (8.5). This is racing the way racing should be. This was racing and entertainment not just entertainment. :D

I'm going to give it a 9. Good racing all over the place almost all day long.

And I'm going to agree with everything Whizzer said as well.

I'll rate Whizzer's post a 10

Here, here, Whizzer!

I DO understand why the yellow flag was thrown at the end of the race, but that doesn't mean that I HAVE to like the race ending under yellow. I agree with it being the RIGHT call, still doesn't mean I HAVE to like it either.

Oh, and Whizzer, IF Jimmie does have a four leaf clover tattooed on his behind, I WANNA SEE IT!!!!!

And, yes, kudos go to the officiating for this week's race.

All in all, I give it an 8.5 too! ;)

8.75 :)

Even DW made some sense today :p

Thanks Whizzer!!! Great analysis as usual

Great post (as usual) Whizzer.

Thank God Kat, I was planning on going to the Doc tommorrow because I thought the same about DW (really had me scared) :p Atleast now I know I wasn't the only one. :lilangel:

Well, I have read and read till my ole eyes are complaining. LOL
I must confess that I slept through the race from the time Jeff's engine blew.
So, I cannot rate the race. Sorry I missed it though.

I'm going with a 9.5.........could have been a 10 except for PJ's crash!

I will give it about a 8.5. All in all it was a pretty good race.

I volunteer to find out!!!!!! :growl: :growl: :growl:

Oh...rate the race, yeah, um, I'll give it a 8.5. Good racing, officials didn't screw up. Would have been higher but, Jeffy blew and engine. :(

I think I give it about an 8.5. (I just finished watching it cuz I had to work and taped it.) It was a good race and not too many cautions. Maybe NASCAR is getting their act together...

I give it a 7.5 NASCAR still needs to make more changes. Would have liked to see the finish under green. Still to many caution laps. I like the old school of opening the pits as soon as the yellow is thrown.

i'll give it a 6.8 Robby had back luck from lap 1.....my pick Vickers got 9th so that was good.....but race still ended under yellow so thats why its low for me

Gotta make a few observations here.

The suggestion Jimmy Johnson might have a four leaf clover tatooed on his butt was a joke, Ladies !!!!!!

Talk about a plethora of over eager members of the female sex with a strong desire to look at someones azz !!!!

And to think women use the term "dirty old men" with impunity.

:bounce:

Go figure those two, Maj and Nascarwoman. Wonder if they would be interested if I got a four leaf clover tatooed on my butt ???? Naaaaaahhhhhhhhhh !!! They are probably saying, look at that dirty old man thinking that stuff.

Yeh Whizz it is all about that "younger man thing"...heheheh! ;) ;)

Oh, and I'd give it a 8.6. NASCAR still needs a few better decisions.

I heard this on " Last comic standing" last night - I think.

Any woman can have a 21 year old body.....

.....she just needs to buy it a few drinks first.

It was a pretty good race but not the best I have seen. NASCAR did a better job of getting cars lined up after cautions and there was alot of green flag racing. I'll give it a 7.5.

ROTFLMAO!

Whizzer, it should be very well known on here that I think Jimmie is one of the cutest things on earth! So, any suggestion that he might have ANY kind of a tattoo on his tookus........well................................I really would like to see it! 'Cuz I bet it's a very fine azz to boot! :p Oh, and we are very aware that we are dirty old ladies! (Easy on the old tho' B) ) :D :D :D :D

the race, 8.0, officiating, 7.0, 5 plus lap down traffic racing the leaders, 0.5, that was nutz.

Yessirrebob, Maj !!!! And right now Earnhardt, Jr, and a few others would like to boot it too. Right into next week !!!!!!!

As a bonified Dirty Old Lady, I will volunteer to throw myself into the breach and find out about the mystical tattoo! LOL mmmm, wonder if Junior has one. hehehe

Anyway, back to rating the race --- I'll give it an 8.5. Pretty good racing, pretty good officiating.

Boy this thread has taken a turn for the worse.

As far as rating the race I'll give it a 6, I have never really liked MIS.

Overall,a 7,the yellow coming out on the final lap was disgusting, although I know there were very valid safety reasons for doing so,as Kasey Kahne might have won that race,it sure would have been a close finish at the least, the fans in attendence probably felt robbed, again ;)

I don't understand this, this is not the first year that races have ended under caution. It has been happening forever and now all of a sudden its such a terrible thing. That is just part of racing. Just like having to pit on the backstretch at some of the short tracks, its always been that way, you don't want to pit back there qualify better, but a few years ago someone felt cheated because their chances of winning weren't as good as someone on the frontstretch so Nascar changed the rules. Thats what I don't like about rule changes.

I give kudos to the officials for letting them race the last lap as long as they did. They could have thrown the yellow earlier in the lap. Instead they gave KK every opportunity to pass Ryan all the while hoping Jones would somehow get out of the way. :)

I do want to give a big shout out to Lil'E who was able to snatch a 21st place finish after being up to 5th with 25 laps to go. Attaboy.

Also, Mikey showed he could drive and in the last 3 laps went from 18th to 10th.

I don't really care for MIS. At least it wasn't it's ususal fuel mileage/tires race so I'll gladly give it an 8.

There's been a lot discussion about Kahne being able to pass Newman on the final lap but I'm quite sure Kahne, HIMSELF, said that he would not have been able to pass him.

Catch him maybe - but passing him is another story.

IMO, Newman, along with J. Gordon, is one of the best at protecting his lead.

BTW, no, I'm not a Gordon fan - just the way I see things.
