Not letting emotions get in the way after the horrific losses to HMS and Tony Stewart.

I'm going for an 8.5. Pretty good racing all the way through and real exciting all the way to the end. :D

I will go about a 6. Don't really like a race with only 8 or 9 cars on the lead lap.

Yes, I thought we were down to a 3 man race at most and here we have 5 really still in it and maybe 6 at an outside chance. :bounce:

8.5. needed to be more racier throughout the race. kind of a snoozer for a while.

I will also give it a 6. The last 40 laps elevated the race somewhat, but on the otherhand the last 40 laps are usually the most interesting.

It was a great race!! 10.0

Ford guy thought he was going to win. That was the funny part. One way or another a Monte Carlo was going to win. Dale Jr. was strong Jimmy Johnson was strong, Stwert was strong. Mark martin was strong, but he just did not have enough. It was great to see a Monte in victory lane. Specialy a Hendrick Monte, considering the past weeks events.

I'm going with a good solid 9. It was Atlanta as only Atlanta can be...........a great track for NASCAR!! Points tightening up, no big wrecks, pit strategy, lack of fuel mileage strategy, mistakes on when or when not to pit, teams fixing their problems, teams having problems, and the dominant car did not win because of a racing incident that brought the field back together for a final sprint..............the best car and team won today. They won on shear guts and determination. :D

Keeping my emotions in check, I have to give the race an 8.5 :bounce: . The 3-4 wide racing was nail-biting, and the overall racing was quite good!

But, not keeping my emotions in check, the finish and Victory Lane celebrations was a 10!!!!!!

I give it an 8, was more interesting than most of them this year.

I didn't catch most of it, but I sure did like seeing that beer can bounce off the wall. That alone made it a 10.

Anybody else wanna lay odds on Biffle being back in that 16 next year? I've thought all season that this year was it for him with Roush. I mean, Greg Biffle needs Jack Roush a whole helluva lot more than Jack Roush needs Greg Biffle.

I'm thinking Biffle to the 30...

I have to go with a 9.5 at least. Loved the 3 and sometimes 4 wide racin, and the great passing. Mulligans caught up with Kurt, Jeff, G, anf Jr, bit it was all good.
Mark did well, but wish he were a bit more gracious in his interview.
Winners Circle was so emotional!!!!! Hope it was a cathartic for all the HMS teams!!!!! God Bless them all!!!!!
Great run by Jimmy!!!!

I thought about him going to RCR also. While I do think he is a decent driver, I don't think everyone would get along. I mean, if he's wrecking his own teammates and causing one of them not to get a win win they are in the Chase, how would he get along with someone who doesn't like him enough already?

I'm a JR. fan, but I gotta admit the "beer can bouncing off the wall" comment made me laugh.
 :XXROFL:

I think if Mark coulda got his hands on Biffle, there would have been one ugly son of a gun going to the hospital to get Mark's foot out of his butt.

Biffle's comments and behavior all season have made it plain to me that he probably won't be around Roush much longer. Now, RCR has a history of bickering drivers true enough, and I don't know if Biffle has issues with anyone there outside harvick or not. He and Burton seem to coexist peacefully enough, and Robby's gone. Maybe harvick will be enough to keep Sniffles from hiring Biffle...maybe not.

Hmmmm....Sniffles and Biffle...hadn't put that together until now...

Who else would have Biffle anyway? Hendrick is set, Penske is set, Evernham is set...the 30 is about the farthest up the food chain that I know of that is driverless.

Maybe he takes the 15 if DEI still wants Mikey out of there.

I thought the race was great (when Kurt went out)

then horrible (when Jeff went out)

then better (when Junior dropped out)

then great (when Mark Martin and Jimmie Johnson were goin' head to head)

then downright awesome when Jimmie won it for HMS. :salute:

overall, I'll give it a solid 8

Biffle wont be going t RCR. Blaney has that open slot. That was a done deal when Burton to the 30.

I'll give the race a 9.

But I don't think Biffle did anything wrong during the race. He raced Mark like he does anyone else. He's there, he has sponsers to please, so he has a BIG reason to race. After listening to Mark on the radio, it seems like nowadays he is expecting everyone to either move over for him to get another position, or move over so he can take the lead. Ya know, I like Mark Martin, but he has to earn it like everyone else. Race for your position, race for the lead, and most certainly race for the win. Don't ask for it, take it.

I much would have liked to see Jeff Gordon win, but at least one of my faves won. I'm not going to point fingers at anyone.
A solid 8.5 from the Kat.

So I am left to conclude that the only teammate relationship in which helping your teammate out is the right move is (gasp and shock) DEI.

Sounds about right for this place.

Biffle's toast either way. Twenty bucks if anybody's interested.

Mark is almost "too nice a guy" when it comes to the racing venue. He has faced more disappointment than any other driver in the series and a large part of it is because he is a "gentleman driver".

Mark's comments of asking others to move over or cutting him a break are a result of his absolute frustration.
And in reality, his absolute frustration is a by-product of him being "Mr. Nice-Guy".

Rating the race. Give it an eight. (8).
