Rate the race

Yeah,I will also give it a 5, tops.

Thanks TRL, it looks like I will start work on April 21. I have chose Charlotte over Knoxville. Less money but closer home.

4, watched the IRL race mostly. This one couldn't keep my attention.

I can't go more than a 5

And that's stretching it.
Makes a big difference not being there. TV cuts alot of the mid pack action to focus on the leaders and commercials.

I agree, barely a 5. though the overdrive had some excitement.

I only saw the last 150 laps. Nice Finish for the 31, Bad for the 24. I give it a 7 :)

I didn't watch it had to go to a funeral. From the replays don't look like I missed much.

I'd give it a 3 , but that is being generous, not much excitement , not much on camera actual racing, and overall just a very boring race.

2. That race was a snoozer.

10 for Carl's win though - I had im winning in my local online fantasy challenge, and it launched me to 2nd in points. :)

Texas, California, Pocono and Michigan all need to lose dates so we can get more Rockingham, Darlington and more short tracks.

I hate these boring as hell racetracks. Charlotte and Atlanta are the only non-RP tracks that are more than 1.3 miles that deserve two dates. They need some dirt tracks and/or short tracks. Spare me of the snoozers.

I'm even up for Dover losing a date - I don't think that'll hurt us too bad.

Oh yeah, I had Jeff Gordon in fantasy. If picking him means he's gonna crash, I'm picking him every week.

I love it. Keep picking him.

This really comes up to what the new car is doing. NASCAR needs to make changes to the new car in order to increase the level of competition. When all drivers, except for the race winner, were once again complaining, it should be a given that things are going to change. As usual, I wrote a nice long rant about it.

I give it a 4.. and thats being generous! AND...Whats up with DW saying he thinks Jr will win then telling Edwards on TV that he really thinks Carl will win and what he said about Jr was just for TV.. Guess what DW..Your on TV you dork!!!!! Make up your mind!!!

I would have found 4 hours at a funeral more entertaining .

I give it a 1 and cannot think of a more boring race in the last few years.

It was so bad. People were watcing the beach balls being knocked around in the stands more the race. That was the wrost race I have ever been to.

Awful race. I thought Atlanta was bad because of the tires, but it looks like NASCAR has missed the mark with the COT on these 1.5-mile tracks. I'm about ready to demand the old cars come back but change some of the safety features for the drivers. I was for the COT because the old cars were too aero-dependant on the cookie cutters. We were told that would go away. It has, but the racing is still not good.

It's not the cars. It's the tracks. They need to do away with running 16 races a year at cookie-cutter racetracks and get some more short tracks. The past couple years, those races have been boring as hell. How about more Bristol, Rockingham, Darlington, North Wilkesboro.

Neither can I.

These cookie cutter tracks suck. No more, please. Get back to the short tracks!

While I agree they shouldn't have so many tracks that look the same, Atlanta has some good racing except for this year's race. Texas and Charlotte can be good at times.

I think AndyMarquis and MRM make very valid points but i really believe the COT is a large part of the problem . Running race cars around a circuit on bump stops is redicoulous to say the lest. As for cookie cutter tracks they contribute to much of the malaise felt by the fans . One Atlanta and one Charlotte was fine but nobody needed to see 4 or 5 more of each . Darlington is not the greatest race track but its the only one like it and the same could be said for Rockingham . The exact same cars with only decals to distinguish them racing on tracks that are exactly the same is getting tedious . Maybe its time for something different am i the only one that thinks a 1.5 mile track with a chicane in the back chute would be cool ? How about a short track that is designed fresh with 21st century technology instead of 1950s limitations built in ? Perhaps even an oval with an elevation change built in . I dont know the answer but i do know i dont need anymore of the same .

Stepford cars on Stepford tracks have left me with glazed over eyes on too many Sundays .

As much as I hate to agree with Mikey Waltrip ---- *sigh*

Get rid of the bump stops and the black art of coil binding. NASCAR doesn't mandate the teams use them, so go back to good old springs and shocks.

Charlotte and Atlanta are the only two cookie-cutters that deserve more than one date. The others should all get only 1 date or be eliminated all together.
