Rate The Races: Texas 1 and Bristol 1

Texas 7 - kind of ho-hum. Nothing great nothing bad. A solid race.

Bristol 6 - Passing was a B but the race was still better than last year.

Missed Texas...Bristol was good but not the "old Bristol"...8.25.

Looking forward to Richmond :punkrocke

Texas-6
Bristol-Um, what BobbyFord said. One groove racing is never good IMO.

He was pretty jazzed in the post interview

Believe it or not. Stenhouse and Bayne look better with the low downforce package. Also, once again Landon Cassill showing he's a freaking wheelman. He looked good in such a subpar car at Brisol to lead 20 laps was a hell of an accomplishment.

Agreed. This package appears to be helping some guys out. Anything away from aero-dependent is a good step.

Texas - 5. Boring waste of a Saturday night that was needlessly delayed 2 hours.
Bristol - 8.

Texas - 7
Bristol - 5

Bristol is lame now. Can't pass. Carousel around the top. zzzzz

Texas-7
Bristol- 7, passing, and just how hard it is to pass, it was still a good race.

Shoutout to Matt DiBenedetto. Thought the poor guy was gonna cry. Hell of a run at Bristol.
How cool was that, and props to Fox for giving this guy some air time, both on the post race and on RaceHub.

10 for Texas. I never thought I would ever see so much green flag short pitting in my life. ! It was so exciting not being afraid of yellows!

Tejas-6.5

Bristol-5.0

Bristol was the worst race I have seen this year (I don't count plate races) and it is shocking for me to say as Bristol is a track I went to for 25 years and I really enjoyed it until Bruton messed with a good thing.

The bottom line for me is that Nascar has had some great racing this year and a couple of so-so events won't dampen my enthusiasm.

Welcome back @Kiante . How's the Army treating you?

would like to see multiple grooves...I want three wide bristol

Me too.

Immediately after the reconfiguration, that's what we had. We were still season ticket holders to Bristol then. I loved that they were able to race there side by side after that. Then, people complained. It was then decided to eliminate the top groove by grinding it down. That obviously didn't work. It did the exact opposite. That ended up making the top the place to be. People are still complaining. Bottom, top. Top, Bottom. All the same to me. People will continue to complain regardless of what is done.

what did you think @Mr Excitement about last 2 races for the 10 car?

Disappointing about sums it up. Why they played the gas card at Texas is a move I still can't figure out. Doesn't really matter though cuz they stunk it up in qual AGAIN and weren't all that good in the race either. Bristol was pretty much a repeat of Texas. They had a chance at a decent finish but that ended when the 1 car walled her with 100 laps to go running p15. Until they improve at qualifying getting out of the 20's is going to be difficult and make top tens nearly impossible.
