Darn, I will give it a 8.5. Would have been a 9 if not for the spin by J.G.

I will have to say 8.5 also. I Gordon hadn't spun I would've definatly give it a 10.

Actually I thought the spin (by the leader with 2 to go) made it even more exciting. Sorry for the JG fans, but to just rate the race, I think that made it a little bit more dramatic- from a purely objective point of view.

I give it a 9.5. It's hard to have more drama than that. The only thing that kept it from a outright 10 was probably because it was a road course in early August.

Great stuff.

Oh how funny it is that so many fans have stated how much they hate road courses, yet when we see the results of rating the race, we see how much better it rates than one of the ordinary oval races. I'll give this race a solid 10 because it did what road racing was supposed to do, give us a lot to talk about and on top of that, very exciting. :beerbang:

buck, I'll admit I haven't been much of a road course fan, but this new car makes it interesting. The drivers have to pay close attention to what they are doing at every moment.

I'll give this a 9.5 ---- very entertaining race.

Numerous spins. Kitty litter collected a few. A near cat fight. An extended red flag. A fan jumps the fence for an autograph. The leader loses control and the race. Definitely more exciting than some of the ovals. 9.

Cat fight??? For sure one of them was a *****. Harvick looked like a candy-azz for letting JPM push him all over the track.

And a friend of mine reports that during the red flag, a female fan was showing her wares to the drivers.
How come we didn't get to see that?
ROTFL
Guess they didn't want me to enjoy myself. Actually, the race was enjoyment enough.

Great race = 9.
Would've been a 10 if Harvick, Montoya and Junyer didn't fall out.

Coverage was a 4. ESPN missed EVERYTHING today. They better make some sweeping changes during the offseason.

10 before Gordon spun. 20 after the spin. Just kidding I like Gordon but I like Tony more. Actually I like any road race, no matter who wins.

ESPN has got to do something. They should have better coverage than the other stations, they looked little leaque today.

wasnt it just too funny when Harvick was interviewed after the on track incident when the reporter asked what they were talking about......
Harvick:...."I was talkin' about kickin' his ass!...

Well ask yourself how many other drivers would let someone grab them by the helmet and get in their face without taking a swing. JPM showed as much gumption as did Harvick.

Like Tony said:
When asked for his thoughts on the matter, race-winner Tony Stewart said he wasn't impressed.

"I hear they still had the Hans and helmets on ... If you're not going to take 'em off then don't waste everyone's time," Stewart said.

9

I'll give it a nine even though dale JR blew a motor. Oddly enough most of the good stuff happened after that

I was upset that Gordon slid off allowing Tony to win the race. Not good.

A good solid 9. Thank you Jeff for blowing it!!!!

What so so bad about the tv coverage....There have been tons a lot worse...

Go Danica!!! :beerbang:

Oh, and welcome aboard. Nice to have some IRL fans here pulling for Andretti Green Racing.

Thanks AndyMarquis...Yes, Im a big IRL fan here. I loved Danica since she started racing so I follow her wherever she goes. She has a great car and team. She will win soon.

Face it....Some of you will never be happy no matter what the networks do.
It may not be perfect, but be glad you have it.

I loved TNT! Even FOX is a lot better than ESPN.

I was satisfied with CBS and TNN and ESPN back in the day. I'm still somewhat satisfied with FOX, and even liked NBC. But, in the past three weeks, ESPN has missed an awful lot of the action, while they can air 40 minutes of a baseball game and then have 3 minutes of commercials and run 20 more minutes of baseball.

They also have an awful lot of self-advertising Sportscenter commercials as well.

I give it a 9. If Jeff had not spun out, it would have been a 10. It was by far one of the most exciting races I've seen in a long time and it was the most emotional for me. I was so excited and then I felt like my dog left me for another owner.
