Rate The Xfinity Race: Dover I

Pretty good...wanted a couple more spots for Sauter, but still did half way decent for a one car team.

3 is sick of drivers crashing on purpose and giving owners high repair bills to prevent a fuel milage race.

7.5. Good race, great battle at the finish. But in Xfinity, I prefer a stronger field... where a driver has an opportunity to "make his name" by beating a driver who already has made his name. (I wouldn't object to banning Cup stars from Trucks and K&N Series.)

I think cup drivers in Xfinity to a certain extent cheapen both of the series. New guys that get moved up to cup should be allowed to race down in the Xfinity races for two or three years to help them gain experience because Nascar doesn't allow much practicing anymore. Having veteran cup drivers with cup teams coming down to the race not only dilutes the Xfinity series but cheapens the cup series, The cup series should be reserved for the best drivers. If they designate they are cup drivers that is where they stay unless they are new. Lets face it, the guys on the sidelines for the top Xfinity teams know how to set up a car and use cup pit crews. It doesn't matter who is driving the car. Little is gained by anybody but the sponsors to have a cup driver in there. The fans lose most of the time IMO.

If Brad K was in the 22 or something, that battle would've been for second as Brad crossed the line with a 3 second gap.

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. And consider this... where would Brad K be today if the best he raced against and beat in Xfinity/Nationwide was Mike Bliss and Steve Wallace? How would be get hired by Roger Penske with a resume like that?

As it is now and has been for years there are some full time older guys that are plenty good enough and gatekeepers of the series in the Xfinity and the trucks. You beat them you are pretty good. Having a veteran cup driver with a full on cup team is overkill, most of the top teams would only lack a cup driver. Everything else would be the same, quick stops and a really fast car is enough advantage IMO.
