Yep that's the number one reason drivers crash3 is sick of drivers crashing on purpose and giving owners high repair bills to prevent a fuel milage race.
If Brad K was in the 22 or something, that battle would've been for second as Brad crossed the line with a 3 second gap.7.5. Good race, great battle at the finish. But in Xfinity, I prefer a stronger field... where a driver has an opportunity to "make his name" by beating a driver who already has made his name. (I wouldn't object to banning Cup stars from Trucks and K&N Series.)
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. And consider this... where would Brad K be today if the best he raced against and beat in Xfinity/Nationwide was Mike Bliss and Steve Wallace? How would be get hired by Roger Penske with a resume like that?If Brad K was in the 22 or something, that battle would've been for second as Brad crossed the line with a 3 second gap.
As it is now and has been for years there are some full time older guys that are plenty good enough and gatekeepers of the series in the Xfinity and the trucks. You beat them you are pretty good. Having a veteran cup driver with a full on cup team is overkill, most of the top teams would only lack a cup driver. Everything else would be the same, quick stops and a really fast car is enough advantage IMO.Sometimes yes, sometimes no.
