Razor Choices

The old reliable razor seems to have lost its edge for the last time.

Been using it for years and years. It was one of the old double edge styles where you turn the handle and the top flips open. Not sure they even make those anymore.

So what is the razor of choice among those more modernized? I've seen the double blades, triple blades with names like Trac and Mach but haven't a clue as to the advantages of either.

I have used a disposable on a few occassions, don't even go there.
 
I've been using a Schick Tracer for about 4 years. It cuts the hair off my face. I guess that means it does adequate.
 
They make the kind you're talking about, I use it. Nothing shaves like them.

I have a backup Mach3 from Gillette.

Great. That is what I will probably look for. I don't believe these new fangled super lightweight toys will do near as well either.

You could try some nads if you want to get er real close.:D
 
Go with the Mach3. That's what I use and it never does me wrong.

Bic, Schick, Gillette.......just about anything to scrape the face clean of the beard!:) Used to use the two edge razor you are talking about....but it got too hard to find the blades. Switched to the disposables and have been using them ever since. Like the Mach 3 but won't spend the money for them unless I get a coupon or something. My idea on shaving.......I do it only because I have to. Not something I enjoy so why should I spend any more money than I have to?:(
 
I have had a beard for the last 25 or so years . I use the cheepest
disposable I can find just to keep the neck clean shaven

pb, I made Mr Kat grow a beard after our first nite together :p

Now he only trims with scissors and uses a disposable for the neck and wild cheek hairs.

Unknown, gotta LOVE a bearded man!

HS, was that "old faithful" a Gilette or a Shick? Both are still available if you search.
