RCR and KHI merge

Maybe, but I see this more as a way of getting the Dillons into the NW series. RCR is having trouble holding onto cup team #4 right now.
 
Bowyer could be looking at NNS full time next year if he doesn't get a cup ride.

Good point. Are you thinking this could be RCR preparing to warehouse Bowyer and the team until a cup sponsor can be found? I'm sure that Bowyer wouldn't want to be out of a car for long, and Bowyer does kick ass in trucks and NW.

If RCR doesn't sign Bowyer for a cup ride, I don't know who will as all of the major players have young drivers at the ready. Some of the other teams have past champions who aren't going anywhere as long as they have the provisional.

I wouldn't even be surprised if Mark Martin gets a ride before Bowyer - even with Red Bull if they somehow manage to stay put.

So, I'm not saying it's an attempt to warehouse him but it may be the best offer he gets.

Maybe.KHI was having sponorship problems so this will help him with some $ and rcr with some R&d. Me thinks

My money is on NEVER! At least not while Harvick is driving for RCR. We all know what happened when a certain RCR driver decided to block the field from catching two cars from that same driver's own (competing) organization...

KHI basically shutting down as a racing operation.

KevinHarvick says KHI shakeup means most of his 140 employees will likely not have jobs, unless picked up by RCR.

Harvick said will likely sell KHI building

Kevin Harvick is dropping Trucks, no more chassis-building, turning Nationwide over to RCR.

Liquidating everything!

Hate to see a team shut down and I hope all the employees do get picked up by RCR ( I think thats Highly likely the ties between RCR and KHI have always been Very close ) but it's good to see Harvick focusing in on this Goal!
 
I think it's a good thing that he will only be focusing on Cup next year. A few other guys should really think about doing the same. So I guess RCR will be back full time in Nationwide again?
 
There are other financial reasons for this merger that may not be apparent at this time.

But they will eventually come out in the news.

I like Kevin but I have had my questions about the ownership thing for sometime. I also have been disappointed with Harvicks development until last year.
No championship but still a complete 2010 season imo, it just took to long to materialize.

Based on his rookie season I expected more of his career. I still believe he has the skill set, just in need of some maturity or polish.


I am betting it is economics driven shutdown, but I am still hoping for the above results, intended consequences or not.
 
Honestly I was under the impression that they were already one in the same but now I guess it's official...

I think it has alot to do with his relationship with Delana. I know it doesn't seem like they are having issues, and they may not be. However Delana did say on the radio that it was taking up to much of their time together. It was wearing Kevin out and he never had time for anything. So my guess is they will give him more time to spend with his wife as well as run for the Cup. Good move, win/win for everyone.

Didn't KBM also steal a guy named Rick Wren who was the brains behind KHI? My old memory is a little weak ,but that right there was the beginning of the end , IMO.
