Record Purse For Atlanta
Atlanta Motor Speedway officials say the track is offering a record purse for the upcoming March 17-19 race weekend. A total of $6.5 million in posted prize money will be handed out in the John Deere 200 Craftsman truck, the Nicorette 300 Busch and Golden Corral 500 Nextel Cup series races. More than $1 million of the purse is for the Busch Series with $4.8 million earmarked for the Cup event.(Scene Daily)
