A mainstake in the truck series is now gone, as Tom DeLoach could not afford the team anymore. This is a damn shame as RHR was a team that hired drivers without sponsorship and punched above their weight a lot. Timothy Peters has been a great driver in the truck series and now he's without a ride... Brett Moffitt won with the team last year and his career has been on the rise. This is a very sad day for the truck series man...

This is terrible and they need some type of sponsor(s) to reopen the team.

Sucks because they have a great stable of drivers but I do hate seing plain white trucks. Hopefully another Cup driver buys the equipment and starts another team. JR Motorsports really should be in the truck series.

I don't follow trucks but the news is disappointing and it sounds like RH was a competitive team. I really feel for the little guys that need jobs to pay mortgages and put food on the table as well as the drivers involved and hopefully the organization can be revived in some form. From a pragmatic standpoint this is something we will likely see more of across all 3 series as overall interest in Nascar wanes.

Gallagher has 4 trucks
Thorsport has 4
KBM runs 2 full and three when Kyle races usually
Kez has a couple but out of this list he is the less competitive this year. Doesn't seem like his heart is in it.

This bunch above gets most of the steak in the trucks, the rest get the crumbs. Neither of the Red Horse trucks have been close to the plate this year one top 5 between them. Ryan Truex is one who is out of the box this year running for Hattori Racing. 1 top 5, 3 top tens with Scott Zipadelli on the top box. It could go either way for that bunch, but I love watching under dogs.

Only Cup driver this year has been super trucker. He won 2 races and finished 20th or so. He has at least 2 more races to full fill his 5 race deal with Cessna (don't think they would have sponsored a full timer trucker but that is only my opinion) . Cuppers are limited to 7 races..too many IMO.

May just be the sign of the times. It seems like unless you're a super star like Jimmie Johnson or Kyle Busch, you're going to have to fight for every sponsor that you attract to your team.

Hate it for Timothy peters but especially hate it for Brett Moffit. He deserves a ride.

Do you think a top-tier veteran truck team shutting down immediately due to lack of funding could be a wake-up call for the crowd here?

Nope. **** is hitting the fan though. Of course I'll be called a "hater" and asked to take my "negative" opinions elsewhere.

There's two things I appreciate about Kyle Busch, his sheer amount of raw talent, and this perfect sarcastic quote that Brian France probably has plastered up on his office wall, "Everything is great!"

Lack of sponsorship among good cup teams is an issue and apparently there is a lot of worry and concern amongst cup teams over this problem. It only stands to reason that the lesser series will also feel the impact as the noose draws tighter. IDK how many trucks make up a full field but my guess is that within a few years cup fields will be around 28-32.

They couldn't run their own logo all over their truck forever. Sucks though.

Hard to get sponsors when Cup drivers come down and win all the races and get all the sponsorship.

You mean it's hard when all the sponsors want to pay for is Cup drivers, right?

Then you better lobby to get NASCAR to let Kyle run more because as he said if they pinch him more, he will have to shut down. Then, those little guys you feel for who Kyle pays will be out of jobs.

Kyle has provided a lot for the series. I think his Xfinity stuff has been boring and old, but he isn't THAT dominant in Trucks like he is with JGR in NXS.

And then teams like Thorsport who get equipment from KBM.

Yeah DeLoach made it sound he just got tired of funding it out of his own pocket even though it seems like he isn't exactly short of money.

Probably just didn't want to piece together sponsors and wanted a full season one on his Trucks over the years.

I would hate to see anyone of Kyle's little guys without a job either but unfortunately what is happening across Nascar now is just market forces at work. Every Nascar fan should french kiss the boots of the FOX and NBC execs that took leave of their senses and paid Nascar stupid money to broadcast it when they didn't even have any viable competition.
