At the bottom of the 3rd, it's all knotted up, Red Sox and Yankees both at 0.
 
Hope the Sox can win it. Would really like to see the Cubs and Sox play.
 
Red Sox take the lead in the bottom of the 4th !!!

Now 1 - 0. After an HR by the Red Sox.

Red Sox lead again in the bottom of the 5th with a HR from Trot Nixon.

Varitek barely beats the attempted double play...but he beat it. The replay shows that the ball was about 4 inches from Johnsons gloves when Varitek's foot was on the bag.

Run scores on the forceout, now 3-1 Boston, Mussina lifted from the game.
 
Varitek then caught napping at 1st, which leads to Nixon getting thrown out at 3rd. I hate it when that happens.

Still 3-1 Sox after 7.
 
Red Sox win 3 to 2 over the Yankees.

The series is tied up at 2-2. Game 5 Tomorrow ! :D
 
Knuckle balls are cool. Wakefield has a 2-0 record in the series throwing one. :D
 
Who would have thought that Pedro and Lowe would lose their starts, but Wakefield would win both of his? :wacko:
 
Actually, I thought Lowe would lose his, since he wasn't pitching in Fenway. But I know what you mean. Crazy, isn't it? :blink: Still, I'm not going to complain about wins. :D :D
 
I like Derek Jeter..the only thing I like about the Yankees, but I was praying the Red Soxs would win. I was tired last night and didnt get to see the bottom of the 9th....but it was a good game.
 
All I have to say is that, other than Todd Walker and Trot Nixon, the Red Sox offense doesn't deserve a single penny of postseason awards. They've had 10 freakin' games against the same pitchers they faced in the regular season to get their butts in gear and produce, and they haven't (other than the aforementioned). I've stuck with it for a while, but there's only so much you can take before you have to start pointing fingers.

Bottom line: No matter how good your pitching has been, if you don't score more runs than your opponent, you don't win games. End of story. The only hope the Sox have of coming back is to start hitting.
 
As most know. Game over. Yanks have the edge. Go to the Bronx for game 6.
 
Yankees vs marlins in world series, unless something changes. I thought the cubs would have won with proir but the marlins just kicked his but tonite.
 
If the Cubs and Red Sox make the World Series, they'll be in Game 7, tied at the bottom of the 9th and all the sudden armaggeddon will break loose. I still hold on to hopes that the rematch of the teams of old could still happen, but that possibility is starting to fade.
 
Now it is tied. 6 - 6, in the top of the 7th. 2 runs scored in the inning by the Boston Red Sox so far.
 
Another good game. Never had any doubts that they wouldn't be.
 
Hell yeah... gonna go the full 7 unless something suprising happens.
