TALLADEGA, Ala. - The No. 41 Dodge of Reed Sorenson, who finished 10th, was found too low in front-end height during post-race inspection on Sunday.

The No. 41 was a random selection for inspection.

NASCAR officials decided to take the car back to the company's research and development center in Concord, N.C., for further evaluation.

Any penalties would be announced later this week.

You know what, when you're as far back in points as Reed is & you basicaly are almost never a race win contender, things like this should not be reported on in the papers. I honestly don't think it's a big deal during inspection either. I mean if I were an inspector & I noticed someones car too low by an eigth of an inch or whatever I think I would take into account starting position, finishing position, laps led, & overall points position after the race before deciding on whether or not to penalize drivers or not. I mean I understand everyone should be treated the same and what have you but an eigth of an inch, which is prolly how low Reeds car was, I think is just too nit picky. He'l prolly get fined $10,000 or so & his Crew Chief will be suspended for a race or two but I don't expect any points to be snagged.

^^^ But that's how 30th place drivers suddenly have top 10 finishes.

I guess I don't see where a driver is in the standings making a difference as to it being reported or not. I think most of us just want to see consistency, first or last in points, being JR or Reed Sorenson (I just picked two drivers) should not matter.
