Regan To JR Motorsports

I am not sure of the long-term plans for JR. If they are just going to be sticking with NW, this makes sense.

If cup is the plan then maybe it doesn't.

I cannot see Joonyer starting a CUP team as long as he is driving for Hendrick.

Why not,Gordon did half of one.

If Joonyer did a one-car partnership thing with Hendrick, OK. Except that HMS now has 4 cars. What I was getting at is that when DEI was competing with RCR for CUP wins (while Dale Sr was still driving for RCR) the results were disasterous. I just don't see that happening while Joonyer drives for HMS.

great. just great.

say what? kurt might compete for the nw championship? that would say a lot of what he thought of finch's ride. giving up on running up front in cup before the season starts. gotta beat someone i guess. <g>

How about this scenario

Kurt runs nationwide for championship

Then runs cup for WINS he is a past champion so he would get into some races.

Finch said they will run for WINS.

Thought Ragan was under contract with Ford?

He was released to pursue the #22 and had he not been, I suspect he would've ended up at RPM.

I like Ragan but I think he may have put to much worth in his own stock and now will be lucky to land a NNS ride.

What if KuBu runs for NNS title and loses

Still$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Your subtle hints may not be working so maybe this would be more obvious..David RAgan :)

So if Monster Energy Drinks is a sponsor for Kyle Busch Motorsports Nationwide team what happened to NOS Energy Drinks????????????

Devid was offered the RPM seat and turned it down.
Many feel RPM is no longer a semi competitive team and with their sponorship woes may loose even more ground. I've heard Amirola brought some $$$ with him but who???

UPDATE 3: Aric Almirola is the top candidate to take over the seat of the famed #43 car with Smithfield Foods as his sponsor at Richard Petty Motorsports. Fourth in the Nationwide Series points standings in 2011, Almirola had another year left in his contract with JR Motorsports but could obtain his release, according to sources, to go to RPM. A JR Motorsports spokesman would not comment on Almirola's status with the team and an RPM spokesman did not return requests for comment. Almirola would not be able to drive for RPM, which Ford has heavily invested in, and continue to drive for the Chevy-backed JRM at the same time. The Almirola-RPM deal is not complete, sources said, but JRM already has talked to drivers about his replacement for the Nationwide Series ride. David Ragan, Reed Sorenson and Cole Whitt are among the top candidates. Air Force and Smithfield Foods are expected to sponsor races on the #43 car next year.(SceneDaily)(12-30-2011)

So The Airforce did reup with Petty, I had'nt heard. All the military sponsorships are year to year unlike most sponsorship packages.

i'd like to see sorenson get the ride.

I agree, however, I think team "owner" might be junyers "nack" instead of "driver." and I don't mean that to be a hit on junyer...just honest...

Thanks for the info...I didn't know that. Bad move on his part, IMO.
