I love my 30.06
Used to be my dad's. Sporterized 1918 Mauser, w/one-piece Mesquite stock and floating barrel. I've never popped deer wiffit but when my brother was a guide in Rifle, CO, this was one of his favorite weapons for Elk. (He's really my cousin but his father died from Alport's syndrome when he was only a year old, my father raised him.)

I have to watch for deer every day and night. Wish Deer Season was a year-round thing in Virginia.
