Just like PPIR in Fountain Colorado, great 1 mile track, had the Busch and Craftsman Trucks there for years. Now last I read they took out most of the seats and just rent out the track for private events and some SCCA stuff. It's a shame when a great track goes to waste. Irwindale looks like a great place to race and watch a race.

The only race that I ever get to see from that track is the Toyota All-Star Showdown that is shown on SPEED each year. It is a shame to see yet another track go away.

Interesting point soon. You sound like you may have had some personal experience with short tracks.

Sounds like a pile of problems and bad decisions buried the track.
