ehh, there's London. Which is stupid to me, but that's the next leverage point they'll use.

There were even small rumors going around here when the Panthers were trying to get tax payer money for stadium renovations of a move to LA.....The Panthers own their stadium, they weren't going to abandon their own facility.

I don't think they will either. What I can see them doing though is using the stadium like they do with London. Instead of having one permnament franchise, just have different set of teams play a scheduled game in LA. Could you imagine if the NFL said all Thursday night games will be playing in LA.
 
It's been 20 years since the NFL has had a team in L.A., and the league is doing just fine without a team there. Yet they're still hung up on getting a team in L.A.
