Fu&%in Yeah! Who's the a$$hole that wrote this? WTF do they know?

Among playoff teams, the Pittsburgh Steelers have the most profane fans on social media, according to data from Proofpoint Nexgate.

Bengals fans' rank fifth most profane on social media among playoff teams, according to the research, which revealed "the most profane and the most targeted" teams.

Proofpoint Nexgate analyzed social media data from the fans of the 12 teams to make the playoffs this season.

The most profane:
1. Pittsburgh Steelers
2. Baltimore Ravens
3. New England Patriots
4. Detroit Lions
5. Cincinnati Bengals

The least profane:
1. Carolina Panthers
2. Denver Broncos
3. Seattle Seahawks
4. Indianapolis Colts
5. Green Bay Packers

The runaway leader in the Profanity category is the Pittsburgh Steelers, with inappropriate comments representing more than 6.1% of all comments. The nearest competitor in the Profanity category was their division rival Baltimore Ravens, with inappropriate comments representing 1.6% of all comments. Playoff success was not a guarantee against profane comments, as the Super Bowl-bound New England Patriots ranked third in this category… and this was even before "Deflate-gate". After the Deflate-gate story broke on January 19, the Patriots remained in third place by percentage, but the total number of profane comments (and of all their comments) surged to a level higher than any other team, with an absolute count of inappropriate comments 1.5 times that of the Steelers.

So my two teams are both #1!
Steelers are who I grew up with... parents still live near Pittsburgh.
Now that I live in NC I support the Panthers too.

Don't know about the profanity... I quit using NFL forums because there was so much profanity and stupid stuff, although I don't remember Steelers fans being the worst. But it could be a pride thing mixed with frustration - the Steelers have been under-achieving while the Panthers have been over-achieving (if another losing season can be considered an acheivment, even after winning a really weak division).

I would've thought Jacksonville fans would top this list because I know me and most Jags fans I know only have a four letter vocabulary during the games.

They only analyzed the playoff teams.:D
