Check out this video of Bowman Gray Stadium and it's history. Besides Richard Petty, Bobby Allison and Buddy Baker, you will also see Bobby Hutchens who now works for Tony Stewart. Also, look at the stands and see how full they are. It's like this nearly every Saturday night. This is what impressed Tony Stewart and others who have visited the track. The video was filmed five years ago and there's been a few changes, but not the track. The track record is 12.9xx seconds set after this film was made.

Great video. We have tracks like that all around me and I love the Saturday night racing. Does anyone know which short track was the first to race under the lights?
 
BTW, Bowman Gray has the Southern Modified Tour racing tomorrow night!:growl:
 
Man what a great feature. I really hate when I lived in Iredell County that I never visited Bowman Gray.

Lappy, you gotta start somewhere. They raced last night in the regular season race and it was exciting. The top two guys started on the front row, and the up and coming stud actually was responsible for taking them out and winning the race. We aren't going to the race tonight though and I'm sure we'll miss a good race. Man, you haveta hear those mods, they are loud and powerful.

That race car that Krista was standing beside is now being driven by a northern driver, Andy Suese. He doesn't make many of the southern tour races because they conflict with the northern tour races, but he'll be here tonight. And what's more, his sponsor is the race sponsor, Advance Auto.

I've got an under the Tabel deal with Advance. I love the mods. Always enjoyed watching them mods on tv. Always wanted to drive one. Really want to do a paved race. We just have dirt tracks near me. Thought about going USAC silver crown but you need two cars and the races are a long way. Bowman looks like a fun track to race at.
