I don't ever, ever, ever wish a player to get hurt. However if some one just took out both of Incognito's knees I'd smile ear to ear.

The Dolphins have suspended Incognito for what sources are saying for bullying teammate Jonathan Martin.

He always seems like a dirty guy on the field so this wouldn't shock me. The guy has douchebag written all over him.

Eh...They all screw with each other. Its not really known what happened from what I've seen. J Mart could just be a big pu$$.

This seems to go a whole lot farther than normal locker room stuff. First of all, you have to realize that you aren't in high school any more. Your teammates have a right to work in an environment free of racial, religious, or sexual bias. They also should not have to fear for their safety from other co-workers.

this from espn.com.

Transcripts of voice mail messages and text messages left for the Miami Dolphins' Jonathan Martin by teammate Richie Incognito indicate a pattern of racial epithets and profane language.
Multiple sources confirmed to ESPN that the following is a transcript of a voice message Incognito left for Martin in April 2013, a year after Martin was drafted:
"Hey, wassup, you half n----- piece of s---. I saw you on Twitter, you been training 10 weeks. [I want to] s--- in your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your f---ing mouth. [I'm going to] slap your real mother across the face [laughter]. F--- you, you're still a rookie. I'll kill you."
Sources tell ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter that officials from both the NFL and the Dolphins have heard the tape and have copies of the message.
Sources familiar with the tapes say these are terms Incognito used over time and were not isolated incidents, including the use of the racial epithet multiple times.
Sources also say Martin received a series of texts that include derogatory terms referring to the female anatomy and sexual orientation.
Incognito was suspended indefinitely by the Dolphins on Sunday night for conduct detrimental to the team.

Would you put up with this in your work place?

The NFL = Thug League. Always will be.

NFL should start cleaning its image by kicking out convicted felons. If any normal American had a DUI on their record, they would probably be working at McDonalds for life because nobody would hire them. But the NFL, there are people who have killed other people in that league... people who would be rotting in prison if they weren't pro football players. And this culture of violence goes all the way down to high school football because of the example set by NFL's athletes.

If a NASCAR driver had caused a fatal crash because they were driving drunk, you can guarantee NASCAR would remove them from the sport permanently.

He sounds smart:sarcasm:

Yeah, this guy is an a**hole on every level. He even threatened ESPN's Adam Schefter on Twitter because he was tweeting transcripts of the harassing voicemails Incognito was leaving for Jonathan Martin. If ever there was a player I'd wish a career ending injury on, he'd be the one.

Hopefully, his next job is pushing carts at Walmart.

That is a false statement. While a DUI is no joking matter, a lot of companies will over look them especially if they were in the past and the person has had a clean record since. Even companies that require the use of a company vehicle will over look DUI's if they were far enough in the past.

I think Incognito took out both of his own knees with this one. Looks like the Dolphins are finished with him, and I highly doubt any other team picks him up after this mess.

I disagree. It's pretty common, especially in the public sector, for people to get fired over DUI. I've heard all sorts of stories over how police officers have declined to write public school teachers speeding tickets over drunk driving (if it's not "serious") for that very reason. They had a bit on Aljazeera yesterday about the "things" football players have kept their jobs and stayed in the league after doing.

If you or I had killed someone driving drunk, we'd be in prison for at least 20, not running around a football field with millions of dollars in our pockets.

I had company cars for 17 years. Three different companies and each had the same policy. Get a DUI and they'll come get your car and mail you your final check.

you must have misread my post. not saying a DUI while driving company car, or even with your current employer. Just that past DUIs can and will be overlooked sometimes. Depends on the person and is not a career killer by any means.

sure if you get a DUI in a company vehicle or while employed with a company that requires you to drive you will get fired.

I just hired a tech for the company I work for that had a DUI 10 years ago. Walked into HR, said he had a DUI 10 years ago, but has been clean ever since. They ran their back ground checks and cleared him. Yes, he did get a company vehicle that he uses daily.

He looks like more of a class act with each passing day.

Miami Dolphins lineman Richie Incognito harassed a volunteer at the annual Fins Weekend Golf Tournament last year by touching her privates with a golf club and emptying a bottle of water in her face, according to a police report.

The alleged incident happened May 18, 2012, at the Turnberry Resort & Club.

The then 34-year-old volunteer told police that Incognito had been drinking, and when he was at the hole where she was working, he rubbed her privates with a golf club and knocked a pair of sunglasses off her head with it, according to the report.

"After that, he proceeded to lean up against her buttocks with his private parts as if dancing, saying 'Let it rain! Let it rain!'" the report states. "He finally finished his inappropriate behavior by emptying bottled water in her face."

Yeah, he seems like a hell of a guy.
