Rick Hendrick to SPOT for Dale JR

Tee Jay Majors is taking two weeks off. Cool stuff I heard on the scanner when I was watching 798 on DTV
 
I heard the same scanner chatter during the race but they were doing a lot of joking around at the time. Earlier in the race Jr. had told TJ that he should take a couple weeks off as he didn't have to do all that much work to do spotting @ Vegas. There wasn't much going on at the time, race wise. They were pretty spread out. Rick Hendrick came on the radio later and told Jr. that TJ was going to take off a couple weeks. That is when Jr. came on the radio and said that TJ was overpaid for the easy work that he was doing. TJ then said the same thing about Jr. being overpaid to which Jr. agreed but said that his job was harder. So I don't know. It also sounded in jest to me. I guess I'll believe that Rick is spotting for him when I hear it. Besides, I don't know that Rick could climb the whole way to the top @ Bristol. That's a long haul up to that rooftop.
 
They were joking. Rick isn't going to be spotting for anyone, ever. I can't believe you dorks think that this was ever a possibility.

maybe they should have been talking about what was going on with the car.

I most certainly did. Good stuff right up until the speeding on pit road penalty. That shot to sh#t a great day at Bristol. Well, that and the subsequent flat tire to end the day.
