Rick had promised Ricky a WC start and has entered him in the Nov 3rd race at Rockingham!

Your thoughts??? I think it's too soon.

no it's not
! One race this year & 7 next! that's good for the development! the younger the better!!!

But if he can't even finish a busch race, what makes you think he will finish a cup race?

My thoughts exactly 66.
There are those with the GIFT, TALENT and sperience who yet to have the chance in WC or even Busch.

We all know why he is running a Winston race.$$$$$$$$$
He can;)

I'd say it's too early. He hasn't proved very much to me in his short racing career. But it's all about who you know, pretty much everywhere you go in life too.

BC That's why I am glad I know you,and TW.I look to be going places real soon.:p

He's had some decent runs in BGN, but nothing that set the world on fire. I guess he's been badgering daddy to let him run. Sure hope he doesn't get hurt, or cause any trouble to anyone else.

I don't think he's ready for the WC circuit yet. He needs to get more experience in Busch b/4 he gets to run with the big dogs. And that is no matter WHO your daddy is. I believe that Rick Hendrick is making a mistake letting him in a cup car this soon.
Kat - Is he going to drive the 25 car or another car?

Riding my coat tails eh PB? I dunno where they'll take ya, dunno where I'm headed.:satisfied Just going day by day......day by day...

majestyx, so far no report on that...I just read this on Nascar.com and had to post this thread.
AND, sorry, Kerry E fans, but I feel the same way about him.

I think its too soon to bring Ricky Hendrick to Winston Cup. Why are all these guys in such a hurry to get to cup to turn into a bunch of Lefflers and atwoods?

I agree. It is to soon for Ricky. Give him another year or two in Busch, then test the cup waters. On the other hand, if he has been bugging his father about running cup, it might not be a bad idea to let him try. When he sees how hard it is, maybe he wil go back to Busch and get him more "sperience".

I can't understand the rush to get to WC, either. Why not spend some "quality" time in BGN before trying to run with the big dogs.

Personally, I think Casey would have been much better off with another year in BGN. It certainly won't hurt Kerry or Ricky to spend another year. Jamie McMurray is probably moving too soon, also.

Ricky probably won't even make the race in Rockingham. His team won't have any provisinals and he won't make it on speed.

It is way to early for Ricky to be making his way into Cup. Run another two years in Busch, run 7 cup races in 2004, run full time in 2005 if he has the talent.

i think Casey would be doing much better in the 19, i still to this day feel he got screwed out of the ride.

he was starting to get his **** together right at the end of the year last year.....i hope he gets Bill's car when Bill retires....i still see a lot of talent in Casey

I wish my dad was a rich winston cup owner, I wouldn't have to go through all that earning your way to the top B.S.

Food for thought: Jimmie Johnson was figured to be moving to Cup too soon as well.

That's just something to ponder, I don't believe Lil 'Drick will set the racing world afire.

As much as I pull for the little guys, I sure can't fault anyone, whether it's a gazillionaire's son or not for taking a shot at the big time.

also, I'm not that impressed with the Busch league. Never have been.

I say let him race this one race this year and see how it goes, some guys just perform better in the wc. JJ is a perfect example.
