Congratulations to him. Now on to the Cup Championship, I'll say by 2015.

Congrats to Ricky , but OMG , a championship be 2015 ? He just won a Nationwide title , that doesnt't make him a top Cup driver . Not even a top Roush driver . And at that , Roush is not even a top team . Cut the kid some slack and remember the high expectations everyone had for sliced bread. He came into a championship ride ,with a championship crew chief , with top three teammates and did what? I give him at least five years to possibly make the chase and that depends entirely on Jack Roush rebuilding that operation to championship calibur.

Take a look at the guy leading the cup points - it's his 3rd full year.

Watch this kid burn it up in 2 years. Race after race last year, Carl Edwards was on the radio trying to follow Ricky and figure out how he was so much faster in the same equiptment. Like most talented rookies, he'll crash and piss off some vets until he gets it right.

The last two guys to win consecutive Nationwide championships were Truex and Junior . Here's hoping he does half as well as they did.

Excellent point but isn't it funny how they both came up through the same organization?

I think that it'll take Stenhouse a while to figure how to save his equipment and when/when not to be aggressive - much like Johnson/Keselowski - but , IMO, he's the real deal.

Stenhouse has taken a different path to the big time than did Earnhardt, Vickers, Truex etc. If that makes a different is yet to be seen.

I didn't care much for Stenhouse last year but he has grown on me this year, I really like his driving style. I'm also just happy that Dillion or Sadler didn't win.
