Lets see if you can get the correct answer:

There are 2 doors. Behind the one door is a man eating tiger. Behind the other door is passage to safety.

Guarding "one" door is an individual who "always" tells the truth and guarding the other door is an individual who "always" lies.

You don't know whom is the liar and whom always tells the truth. Nor do you know which door is guarded by whom............."You have one question, to one guard, to discover the correct door.

Can you determine which door leads to safety by asking one question.

Remember....2 doors, 2 guards. One guard always told the truth, one always lied - - and one question to one guard to find the correct door.

Ask the guards, "Are you guarding a door?"
You can only ask "one" guard "one" question.

And how would your question let you know which door leads to safety. The questio already tells you that there is one guard that is quarding each door.

Besides, no matter who one askes the quesition of, one will lie and the other tell the truth. How can you spot the difference?

I guess you just have to take your chances because you don't know who to believe.

There is an answer to the riddle that will permit you to select the correct door to safety........If you ask the correct question :)

But the guard who has the door to safety would say, 'he is'.
The guard with the tiger would lie and say, 'he is'.
Besides, you can only ask one question, of one guard. You can't ask both guards at the same time.

oops, forgot to read

I would say, "Is it safe for you to open the door for me?" and if it's the one to safety, I'd be home free. If not, I'd hide behind the lying son of a bitch guard and let him get eaten up.

You say to one guard...If I ask the other guard which door the tiger is behind what will he say.. Then whatever the answer is you open the opposite door!
As one of them lied and the other told the truth about the lie..The door they indicate to have the tiger behind it is the wrong door..
Betsy:rolleyes:
