RIP Good Music, Beginning of time-2011 -- vol. II

This is, officially, the worst song ever in the entire world history of music.

I didn't think it was so bad. My young daughter loves Disney radio, so I'm listening to everything from Miley Cyrus to Justin Bieber on a daily basis. She could be exposed to a lot worse.

As for Meatloaf, well, at least you didn't give us "I Would do Anything for Love...".

Your other selections - much better.

Can't wait til' Mr. or Miss Forum Moderator gives me an option of posting videos.:)

At least I can edit & delete posts now.:beerbang:

:

I'm 44 and tune into Radio Disney on Sirius every once in a while:D

I'm posting all sorts of quality music to make up for it.

Well on that note, is it alright to post some for the ailing country fans? Country has been dead for quite some time.

The flip side of Hello Walls, both penned by Willie Nelson

Can't beat a Charley Pride song

One of very few doing his best to keep country alive

A couple more.

Plenty of great Conway songs. Haircuts are another story.

Try getting this one out of your head. Performed by trucks no less (the things people come up with ).

Justin Bieber?

Your man card has been revoked.

Look, if music survived this, it'll survive the whole Friday thing....

Man card reinstated.

That "Friday" song is pretty bad, but honestly it doesn't sound much different from the crap my daughters listen to on the Disney Channel. They are constantly showing videos between shows on that channel and most of the music sounds an awful lot like that song.

I just wish we could get rid of autotune. Auto tune has allowed crappy singers to actually become famous, by masking their horrible horrible singing.

You and I are soooo on the same page there. Autotune is the worst thing ever. God, how I hate it so.

Wow. My daughters wouldn't listen to anything like this, but this is my son's favorite band...

I consider myself a metalhead, but niether Goth Metal nor Grindcore metal are my thing. (actually, the second band looks more like emo metal, if there were such a thing)

Opeth is the best metal band to come around in years. From Denmark, they could fit at anytime into the death metal realm (coookie monster vocals), but can so seemlessly into some beautiful melodic songs, as you can see from this video for Harvest.

And if you want to see the more death metal side:

These guys are phonminal!

You want music to make your ears bleed??? OK, I'll play... These will not only make your ears bleed but also open your sinuses and cause sterility in small animals:

...and, in my opinion, the absolute worst song to ever make the Top 40 (I don't considr rap, hip hop or techno actually music):

I can't do the heavy metal. Most of my friends up here listen to that crap. It's loud and obnoxious.

I went to a heavy metal concert with my friends, all the "singers" did was scream at the top of his lungs in to a microphone and bang his head around as if his joints in his neck couldn't keep his head up.

It's noise, not music. But again, kids these days don't appreciate real music, thus they listen to this ****.

Guess you forgot about me being a metalhead. 49 years old in a couple months....I don't think I qualify as "kids these days."

All good ol' Dr Dimento stuff right there. But I will admint, that version of Hard Days Night is possible the worst thing I've ever heard. Even worse than the William Shatner stuff fro the late 60 (Lucy i the Sky With Diamonds, for example)

Surfin' bird is great, and really good for annoying the crap out of my wife:)

Re-read the post. I said "kids these days don't appreciate real music". Most of the teenagers I talk to have never heard of Journey, they wouldn't be caught dead listening to Cash (but they actually like it when they do hear it). I could name off 20 bands from the 1960s-1990s and they might have heard a reference to one of them in a movie.

Ke$ha, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Rihanna qualify as good music to people

Actually, I find this opinion kind of narrow-minded. Different music means different things to different people, and nobody seems to accept the fact that someone may have a reason for enjoying certain music that you may deam as "crappy."

Example, I grew up listening to heavy metal. To you it's just noise, but to me it's a whole lot more. You call it loud and obnoxious. You say, and I repeat, that they don't appreciate what you call "real" music, which is why they listen to this "crap" as you put it.

I'd be willing to bet there's stuff on your iPod that others would call crap. There's probably stuff on there that I really really dislike. But I'm not going to sit there and call it crap, because I know you enjoy it for your own reasons.

Exactly, music is all about the person listening to it.

The difference is you can name off heavy metal bands and I've heard some of it. I don't like it but I've heard it. It's just not my thing.

Saying you don't like it and it's not your thing is fine. Calling it all crap and saying thigs like "It's noise, not music" is another thing altogether.

Okay.

"To me, it's just noise."

It's what I put up with everyday around here honestly. I'm not a huge rap fan but I listen to a lot of it (being from Waldorf and all). Everyone says all the time "it's not music" and stuff.

Honestly, I'll take Jay-Z's music over Katy Perry's music anyday... there are things I would like to do with Katy Perry and Kesha but none require their music:growl:

I prefer 90s Alternative music, and I love ANYTHING by Amy Lee and Evanescence.
