Ive been seeing the trailers to this movie coming out Friday and I just dont know. I know its only a movie but I cant get past the fact it shows monkeys defeating cops. That is just absolutely ridiculous. Cant happen so that in itself is enough to make me not see it.

Again, I know its a movie but I cant get past that...lol
 
......Ok, only the cops has you concerned not that fact that clearly they have to defeat whole militaries as well?

let's see, who survives when mankind manages to kill ourselves off....apes? there wouldn't be any cops around for them to fight. <g>
 
Well, it IS a prequel. The original Planet of the Apes (one of my favorite movies) showed us a world that was run by apes, when mankind was but a wild animal living in the forest (the forbidden zone), most of which couldn't speak, read or right. Seeing that it's a prequel, they would have to do something to show us how the original scenario came to be.

I'm very intrigued, but also slightly skeptical, given the quality of the 2000 remake they did with Mark Wahlberg
