Hey so I've decided to share a pretty frustrating story.

I spent the weekend(sat-mon) on vacation on the CO River just south of Lake Havasu. About 2 hours after we got there, all the boats were buoyed on the water and we were ashore kickin back having a great time....

Then a few of us notice this kid in this damned 22' rental pontoon boat, 1-800 number and all, who apparently came in against a sea wall to pick some people up was floating down river directly at our boats. I first noticed as he was holding on to my dads boat from his, my grandpas and two other boats where bouyed directly behind my dads and another one was about 30 feet away directly on the other side of the pontoon, and then another party's boats just down river from us.. so he's in a bad spot basically in the middle of our ****..

I panick and hop over a railing, and out to the water to catch this kook. I jump the railing like a damn hurdler and make my way to the water where there is about a 2 ft drop from the bank. When I hit the water I immediately buckle and fall. My left foot is ******. I didn't know how bad at the time so I go ahead and try and help this kid out of the jam... I don't think he had any clue there was a current on the river. His passengers(no one probably over 20) are jumping out and all over the place so I have to hold boats, direct the tourists away from their own prop, and the later untangle his out drive from 2(!) of our lines before pushing him out and down river for the next campground to deal with.

No boats were damaged and it would have been no harm, no foul, but my foot has been swollen as hell for 3 days, it put a serious damper on my trip(it helps to have two feet to operate these vessels), I'm hobbling around learning how to use crutches... and now I'm missing work sitting at urgent care. All because these people paid an hourly rate to learn about currents and play bumper boats.

I felt/feel really bad for the guy though. He was clearly very shaken up and embarrassed.. Defo one of those cringeworthy moments that randomely pops into your head late at night while trying to sleep for years. Haha.

TL;DR: Kook kid driving a boat he had no business operating accidentally destroyed my foot and my weekend.

Was he a mooslim? Did he carry a clock?
