Hey everyone, I just wanted to make sure it was noted that Robby qualified 8th for the race at Michigan. I know that no one besides me and Lappy even care, but I still have to make this post to show support for my driver. I'm extremely proud of him. I don't want this to turn into a negative thread here. But I really think that I good start will make him have to take less risks and will probably get him a good finish, seeing that his engine or oil line can hold on. Gas on!!

I care, and think it's wonderful. Robbie and his team deserve a little luck. :) Let's hope that this weekend is the start of it.

I saw that and was shocked!!!! But I was also impressed. I would like to see a one car team get a win for a change and slience some of the critics.

Great starting spot for Robby!! Best of luck to him today.

Robby's a guy that can be good. If he can get the cars together, meaning bringing good stuff to the track every week, he'll be up front, period.

It's really an uphill battle, nowadays, to be a one car team. Good effort by Robby's guys to get the car that good. Need a little help in the engine program, though.

If he car get a good motor he should do good this weekend. I heard or read somewhere that when he won the 2 races in 03 that Robby Gordon Motorsports build the cars, they just had an RCR motor in them. Sure wish he could get some RCR or Hendrick power for this weeks race.

I have noticed that he has been in the top 10 sice the 600 but has no luck being able to get the spot.

That doesn't sound right. I think "RCR Shop" would have built the cars. The 2 races he won are the 2 cars he built

I noticed he qualified 8th because I was at qualifying Saturday, and the race Sunday. Too bad he didn't finish anywhere near there.

i still think an 8th place start spot is impressive. For a first year team with brand new engines and whatnot, the best anyone could expect would be for a team like this to use a hendrick or dei motor to make that good of a qually run. robby did it with his own engines

Jones in a 2nd RGM car: P.J. Jones is listed in a 2nd Robby Gordon Motorsports Harrah's Chevy for the Dodge/Save Mart 350 at the Infineon Raceway.(Sonoma Entry List)(6-21-2005)

Thought this was interesting!!!!!

he also has 4 DNS with his own engines. For a first year single team I would have leased the engines until all the bugs were all worked out, unless tthey don't mind doing it now.

well, one of the dns's included the daytona 500, he finished pretty damn well in the 150's but somehow, LePage finished ahead of him. The others, what can you say? Impound races, right? You don't want to rish smashing up a car by going balls out, so you play it conservative and it comes back to bite you in the butt.

well, we know he has the talent (except when ryan newman deems otherwise) and the ability. We know his shop can build a good chassis, I really think it all depends on the motor.

Kevin and robby was both in the transfer spot, Kevin wanted to move up one more row, gave robby a little bump and when he did that Robby went up the track and the 1 car got the last transfer spot.
