Deal or no deal? Robby Gordon says he and Yates were close to agreement

Robby Gordon said Friday that he thought he had a deal to buy Robert Yates Racing before it fell through two weeks ago.
The deal, Gordon said, is off right now but he also said it has been off and on before.
Gordon also indicated that he could be switching manufacturers with the Cup teams he owns.
“I think I could become the No. 2 Ford team relatively quickly,” he said. “It would take a lot to become the No. 2 Chevrolet team

I just may prefer to Robby in a TOYOTA with all kinds of Factory support.

Ford is closing plants, laying off workers, losing $$$$, trying to sell Astin Martin and maybe even Jaguar to bolster the home market. Ford is in trouble!

I don't know, GM is in even worse shape & giving cars away. Toyota just postponed the release of their entire '07 line, didn't they ?? Because of recall problems and quality issues ?? Car manufacturers in general are hurting .
