Odd rumor but Jayski is reporting:

Robby to have his own Cup team again? UPDATE to Yates? Robby Gordon's future plans continue to be the subject of debate, and the veteran driver continues dodging the media. The latest report is that he's considering building his own Nextel Cup team for next season.(Winston Salem Journal)(8-9-2004)
OR TO YATES? hearing Robby Gordon could be heading to Robert Yates Racing, a third team? with Citi Financial as the sponsor?(8-10-2004)

Sweet!

Pretty nice to see Robby on the good side of rumors for a change. :)

hmm sounds good, as long as he has a ride, but hope he can stick to chevys!
As a lifelong Ford fan, I hope he sticks to the Chebbies as well.

Now, y'all, he should be allowed to wreck whatever make of car he wants. This is a free country...

:p :p <_<

I actually heard a rumor that Robby Gordon could be the driver for the #11 FedEx car for Joe Gibbs racing next year.

#11 may be. Chances for getting Biffle or McMurray are looking more slim every day.

He already does, he's just driving a Chebbie while he does it.

Not a big Robby fan. But I belive he hasn't wrecked no more cars than many other drivers on the track. As a mater fo fact I belive DJ and Bobby Labonte each have crashed as many or more.

True enough, but a reputation is a hard thing to live down, Just ask Kurt. Or Jaws.

Both statements are very true. But Robby has done a lot better the last two years. In 2003 Robby only had 2 dnf's both wrecks, B. Labonte had 5- 2 wredks and DJ had 9- 7wrecks ( But they weren't all his fault) So Robby is getting better. But like you said a reputation is hard to lose.

Those two drivers having chanpionships don't have anything to do with wrecking cars.

McMurray is out! He signed a contract extention with Ganassi just a week or 2 ago!

If he does go to Gibb's he and Tony probably wont get along very well; knowing their past and all!

Nah, from what it seems they are cool with each other. I read an article a while back where he said that him and Robby were cool and that Robby is one of the best natural racers in Nascar today and how he'd love to have him as a teammate. Robby was even going to put Tony in his second IRL car for the Indy 500 but that didnt work out due to Tony's contractural obligations.
