RCR says Robby Gordon will stay
Robby Gordon will be back in Richard Childress Racing's No. 31 Chevy this weekend, the team said Tuesday.
There had been reports that because of Gordon's actions at New Hampshire, RCR would replace him with veteran Ricky Craven for the Dover race. That isn't going to happen, the team said.
Gordon was trying to retaliate against Greg Biffle for earlier contact when he triggered a wreck that victimized championship contenders Stewart and Mayfield.
There's widespread speculation that Gordon won't be back with RCR next year. Team owner Richard Childress has said nothing definitive.
