UPDATE penalized: NASCAR has issued penalties to the #7 team that competes in the Sprint Cup Series as a result of rules violations committed at Lowe’s Motor Speedway earlier this week. So, what's the difference? I thought NASCAR was making a statement last week.

I wonder where the two fanboys of Robbie are. I'm sure they will stick there head in here to defend him.

Poor Robby, didn't wreck, lucked himself into a top 5 on a oval track, and gets caught cheating.

Not a lot to defend, if the set up violated the rules they deserve the penalty. I feel bad for him though and I'd like to think he didn't have a clue but knowing Robby he helped set it up.

Well, let me take a stab at this. NASCAR said do not mess with the fuel, do not change the new car and if you have a big motor we will wack you.

Michael got wacked for messing with the fuel. We all know what happened a few weeks ago because of a big motor.

Now, how did HMS get away with an obvious infraction involving the COT last year?

"and 20-10.6H (rear axle housing exceeded the maximum specified toe of plus or minus one degree) of the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rule Book."

You see, a rule book does exist! :sarcasm:

I can just hear Robbie saying, "hey, let's put one degree of toe in the rear end housing!"
