Okay, I'll start something about Robby and not let our resident Robby fan, Betsy go first.

Robby seemed to be driving for his life today. He was difficult to pass, even when he was a lap down, not that there's anything wrong with that. :) Anyway, at one point, Kahne told his spotter that Robby was blocking him going down the back stretch, even though Kasey was not leading at that time...riding in 3rd or 4th at the time. In some ways, Robby is reminding me of Dave Marcis, a driver that would race anyone around him, even if he was 50 laps down. Everyone knew that they would have a difficult time getting around old Dave and so it wasn't anything that wasn't expected. Could this be Robby's plan?

I just hate it when a driver complains that another driver doesn't let him pass. It's called racing and good for Robby.

i agreed to a point, race a guy hard, the hardest you could but if you're a lap down and are lets say 1 or 2 mph slowers than the leader or whom ever then you should think for a minute, i mean here is a guy that could win the race and is faster than me, least you could do is give the guy some room to race ya. robby doesn't do that.

Funny I always remember Dave as a guy that went as fast as he could and held his line . Maybe if you gave Robby a flat top hair cut and a pair of wing tips I could see the comparison.

Multi, driving hard as you can, holding your line is just what I was talking about. The blocking part was just extra. :) I'm just saying that these days, the prima donas of the sport expect drivers to move over and let them pass. In my world, you have to earn it and that means that if I am using your line, you have to find another way around me.

If it's hard racing you want, race someone with a car that's about a fast as yours.

If it's TV time you want, block the leaders.

With the bias the networks show towards top drivers and the leaders, I don't blame a guy for wanting to get some air time.

He's got to keep his sponsors as well.

I can agree with that but unfortunately it looks like Robby is more about blocking than holding his line. Besides, why hold up someone who is not on the same lap as you. You aren't racing with them. You are racing with the guys on the same lap as you and you should do everything possible to stay ahead of them.

All I can say is Robbie is lucky the season is over. Anymore races and the top 35 wouldn't look too good.
