Ok who is wondering what the hell happened today?Another rain race has changed our thoughts.All you Punk Rookies its time to post.:)
 
What kind of rolls do you need?? I hear boo makes awesome Kaiser rolls.:p PURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
 
What happened was pretty basic. Unless ya had the power to get down the straight, it didn't matter if you could out turn somebody. Just the way flat tracks are.

Kurt didn't have the power to get a run on the outside to pinch Jimmy down, and didn't have the power to overcome the momemtum loss when going low.

Anybody know how many spots Jeff G picked up when he only took two, and how many he lost back getting passed? Gutsy call but the way they were strung out, I wonder if the saved 7 seconds helped.
 
I think it did 71.........he was about 21st before stopping and wound up, what 19th? Haven't gone to nascar.com to varify though.
 
Not at the front awesome..........but someone was passing!! Jr started 37th.......ended 11th!!:)
 
Bill, I don't think a second groove ever developed enough to allow much passing, but Ryan and Kurt sure looked damn good today but Busch really couldn't find the right groove to pass Newman.
If the race hadn't beed shortened by rain Ryan might have blown another engine or who knows what else may have happened.

Hell they said his brakes were begining to fail,True this may have been caused by the extream racing toward the half way point,but Ryan is notorious for tearing up a car before he is done with it.;) You could be right Kat.But mocks nicks now.It is in the books.:)
 
Newman is not notorious for tearing a car up.

They know exactly what they're doing.
 
Not enough passing because there was only one groove. The track was also slick and I thought I heard someone say it was starting to come up again. This was a track position race. You could pick up some position if you had a good pit crew. The guys on pit road won the race today, not the drivers

JR Got his camera time early,maybe thats all he needed for today.:rolleyes:I kept waiting for him to say,Cause my last name is Earnhardt dumb ass.He is doing to his ole mans property something I don't think the ole man would have done.What a putz,Oh and this is not a Chevy thing.

I am a chevy fan too, actually I root for Harvick. I think Jr. had a good race, went from 34th to 11th.

na$car needs to tell Mr Barhe to fix the track by banking it !

Was great to see Ryan win his first race . Otherwise that was a follow the leader race & very boring.

Oh to get things right with boring races na$car needs to get homestead fixed too cause it's no better than loudon!

now to rockingham one of the better races of the year
 
Dover will be good


Kansas ????? only one race run there so far. But I don't buy the outside groove wearing in theory. So it will be interesting to see what that track produces this time.

Talladega is a plat track ! yikes everyone get your fingernails ready

Charlotte a good race.

Martinsville will be good

Atlanta will be good and maybe rain free.

Rockingham will be good

Phoenix will be a follow the leader race

Homestead will be another follow the leader race

so 6 of the 9 races left will be Racing at it's best with 3 that are there to make millionares money!

Talladega is where the points will take the final shake-up. Miss that wreck and you are a winner in my book. Plus, Kerry Earnhardt will be in a DEI car. If he runs up front all day with Jr. and Mickey, the bigger plate contraversy will rear it's ugly head once again!:p
