I just heard on the local news that there is a plan underway to put Ronald Reagan on the $10 bill, replacing Andrew Jackson.

At first thought, that seems like a pretty good idea. He was a great president and a great man.

This plan is said to have bi-partisan support.

What do you all think?

Hamilton wasn't even a president, however...I think he killed Aaron Burr in a duel...which is pretty damned hardcore...Franklin wasn't a pres either...but he played a big A role in the whole "Fouding of our Country" thing...I think Hamilton is on the ten for his involvement with the Treasury. I'm cool with Reagan on the 10 tho, i always felt safe with the nation in his hands.

I knew Andrew Jackson was on the $20. My wife lets me have one every couple of months just to keep me familiar with such things. That didn't seem right when I typed it either. Sorry I misspoke. ^_^

When they were discussing it on TV last night they were saying that Hamilton wasn't a president but a war hero. That seems like the most likely place to put a former president then.

I don't think you could get anyone to take a $10 bill with my mug on it :p

Money does strange things to people, you never know.

well, arron burr actually killed hamilton in the duel.
hamilton was the one founding father who never got to be president, and is often forgotten about...

i also think Regan should be on some unit of currency, either a 10, a 20 or a coin or a new bill altogehter...

Hey, if Reagan goes on the $10... Does that mean Clinton can go on the $3?

Hay I seen a 3 dollar bill once with Clinton on it.

Yeah, Aaron Burr capped Hamilton...the funny thing about dueling was that the goal of a duel was to NOT shoot one another...it was a gentlemanly way to "settle a dispute" after both missing, the two participants put it in the past...that's why Burr capping Hamilton stands out as strange...Burr had a rep for being really really really shady in all matters of life.

I think he shouldn't be put on a dollar bill but rather on a package of jelly beans. He did love jelly beans and I think that would be a cooler tribute than on a dollar bill.
