ROTY and Champion

Maybe Gordon,and Terry Labonte,Don't know Paul.Just a guess.

No it has never happened. Rick Hendrick has produced only one ROTY and that was Jeff.

Childress has two ROTY (1997 and 2001) but not during years he won the WC crown.


Junie Donlavey has produced more ROTY winners than any owner near as I can tell. Three of 'em, but needless to say Junie has no WC championships under his belt.

Jody Ridley (Junies only race winner) 1980

That'd be a great new stat then,Jimmie Johnson wins ROTY honors while Jeff Gordon wins 5th Championship!!!!:satisfied
 
Could very well happen, 24thunder. Gordon is showing his old form again and is not that far from the lead, and Jimmie Johnson still has a pretty good hold of the ROTC title right now. I'd like to see someone else other than Gordon get the cup title, personally, but I can respect the fact he's a solid contendor.
 
Currently Ryan holds a slim, 5 point, lead over JJ for the ROTY honors. That lead may swap around almost race to race.

:leapfrog: Kinda like this Scrab man.:D That boy Jeff don't need to be involved in breaking anymore records,I wish he would break his pedal masher,He has got me worried being a Martin fan,Don't ya know. :p
 
I didn't know Newman had passed Johnson. Darn. Newman is a great racer, there's not doubt about that, but I've followed Jimmie Johnson since his ASA days and have met him before, so I'm of course pulling for him.

Ya gotta like what MM feels about his ride this weekend! He is rarely as absolute in his statements regarding his chances as he was yesterday.:)
 
Ya Scrabble,Martin pretty much cut,and dry on statements about his car,Only thing last time he said he had a real good car he had a hit,and run accident.:D I am laying low with the bosting,and keeping my fingers crossed. ;)
 
I think its pretty rediculous about the ROTY whos in the lead. Look at the jj's stats 2 wins, 4poles, and top 5 in points. Newmans are impressive but I dont think he has done as well is JJ has. I also think Jimmie will win one more race this season might be the race today. :)
 
SmackI agree with you that he will win again,But I think it will be in homestead,or atlanta.He seems to have that Mark Martin curse on smaller tracks,That being hit,and run accidents.;)
