Was there a penalty? This was found after qualifying or before?

Just something Nascar can use to deprive Biffle of the title in '04.

Of all the tracks to find something 'suspicious' at...I bet those DEI cars are legit after all!

I wonder if they even look at the DEI cars in the room of doom? Or do the just sit the templates on them and then say hey that looks fine go ahead!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure they look at the DEI cars pretty good. It would seem to me that they would check those cars better than others because its not in NASCAR favor to have a team win every restrictor plate race.

I know they probably check the DEI cars closer than the others. I just wanted to see how some people would react. Oh Jack may need to get rid of his ordering and purchasing manager or spring and shock specialists, it may end up hurting one of his drivers in the long run (in the points chase). If you think about the 25 points Martin had taken away from him last year, he woul;d have lost by only 13 points. But losing by 13 or 1300 you still didnt win right!!!!!!!!

NASCAR displays seized Busch parts

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - NASCAR inspectors gathered quite a collection of parts from pre-qualifying inspections Tuesday and Wednesday in the Busch series garage.
Among the parts taken: an unapproved side window from the No. 8 Chevrolet of Dale Earnhardt Jr.; an unapproved titanium brake rotor from Johnny Sauter's No. 43 Chevrolet; and unapproved fuel cell assemblies from the cars of C.W. Smith and Jay Sauter.

NASCAR also confiscated part of the rear rotor from the Chevrolet driven by Todd Bodine and took part of the oil pans from the cars of David Green and Mike Wallace.

Additional parts have also been placed on display in the Winston Cup garage. NASCAR inspectors added a false TV camera shell from Ryan Newman's Dodge; unapproved spring rubber inserts from Brett Bodine's Ford; and unapproved springs from the cars of Greg Biffle and Mike Harmon.

Part of a rear axle from Jack Sprague's Pontiac and an unapproved front dash gauge panel from Johnny Benson's Pontiac were also confiscated.

Kinda picky huh? I'd like to know what an unapproved front dash gauge panel is. And what kind of rubber has to be used before its approved by NASCAR.... <_< ;)
